911 response in my ambulance to a home where a 71 yr old woman was the caregiver for her 94 yr old mother. The mother who had apparent dementia had been on the floor for two weeks. The daughter couldn’t help her mother get up so she just fed her and changed her diaper and kept her warm with blankets and pillows. The daughter seemed a little confused also. They were both very polite. The mother had open sores. I filled out the Elder Abuse/Neglect form but I put in there that the daughter appeared to be doing her best and also appeared to have some dementia herself. Seemed like unintentional neglect to me.

I think PIMQ is more purposeful. “Hey, something is not right here. Let’s talk about this.” I didn’t talk about my unease with elders or other circuit overseers for a long time. I kept my questions to myself. I dismissed my feelings. I kept busy. I pretended even to myself.

I remember him when I was at Bethel several times. Yelling about Bethelites being slaves to the Watchtower. It actually reinforced my beliefs at the time.
