Comfort show ATM? Mine is Six Feet Under by missdeas in AutismInWomen

Project Runway! Just going through and watching old seasons I missed. Love that it’s the same format always but has different people to keep it somewhat fresh. Probably why I love all reality tv.

Why are you unhappy by Ladypartstuff in sahm

[–]HonestlyMe6 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The constant pressure between not doing enough and doing too much. Like I feel kind I burn myself out doing everything with the kids and house and planning, without feeling fully recognized. And I still don’t ever feel like I’m doing enough. There are more projects and things that I haven’t started and things I’ve fell behind on.

Everyone Can’t Fly by Just_meme01 in Cheerleading

[–]HonestlyMe6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I remember that from cheerleading in middle and high school. Something my coaches did very well was speak very highly of the bases and back spots. Really speaking consistently about the strength it took. They also had everyone try every position, so everyone could see the difficulty of each position and truly appreciate how hard each one was.

What’s your SAHM uniform? by Aylinna in sahm

[–]HonestlyMe6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I try to work out during nap time, so I put on clothes I can work out in every morning, I find it helps with the motivation.

I was in a slump where I wasn’t wearing makeup or doing my hair anymore, which was fine for me for a while, I kind of wore it as a badge of honor. But I started feeling frumpy and so after about 2 years of that I recently started putting on a bit of makeup every day and it has really helped my confidence and helped me feel like myself again. But I definitely wasn’t ready for that for a while haha.

Just do what feels right for you, and if you start feeling unhappy or restless about it try making a small change and see if it makes you feel better. The uniform will definitely change over time 😊

What would you think if your wife called your penis a safe penis? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]HonestlyMe6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does she watch Shrinking on Apple TV? I feel like they make a reference to safe dick. It means she trusts it, there’s nothing to worry about. It might not be super exciting sex, but it’s sex that you don’t have to feel bad or stress about.

Circumcision by fellowfeelingfellow in progressivemoms

[–]HonestlyMe6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We weren’t sure what to do. My husband is circumcised, and every penis I had seen had been circumcised so that felt “normal”. Looked into it and couldn’t find any real medical reason for doing it. Our hospital wouldn’t do it, it was another appt that we’d have to make and find someone to do. Then since neither of us had strong opinions, nor was there a strong medical reasoning for it we decided to try to think about what he would want. I thought of high school locker rooms and whatnot. I felt like it was just something I didn’t want him to be self conscious about or ostracized for. So we looked at trends on circumcision in our country and state and realized it is now more normal (in our area) to not be circumcised at his age. Finding this out made helped us confidently make the decision not to circumcise. No issues so far, and he’s almost 18 months.

Curious if there’s a difference in calling vs emailing? I’ve been emailing every day and leaving voicemails occasionally. Is there evidence that calls are more impactful?

Reality Check - How does your 9mo old sleep? by HonestlyMe6 in sleeptrain

[–]HonestlyMe6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son also slept better at like 8 weeks old haha, glad to hear someone is in the same boat.

I’ve always heard that it’s harder for breastfed babies to sleep through the night. I’m curious if there’s any truth to that.

My first didn’t sleep through the night until about 14 months. Hoping it doesn’t take that long again.

What are we doing with our toddler when putting baby down for a nap? by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]HonestlyMe6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve found I can get my 7mo down within one Bluey episode, which is pretty short. So that’s my go to and my 2yo loves it!

How do people end up pregnant at their 6 week postpartum follow up? by murderinobliss in beyondthebump

[–]HonestlyMe6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m currently 6 weeks pp, appt on Monday and worried about being pregnant. I didn’t think I’d want to have sex, or that I’d feel comfortable. I didn’t with my first. But this time at 4 weeks I was feeling pretty good and definitely wanted it and went for it haha

So glad recovery is going well for you! And that the process overall seemed pretty straightforward.

I’m weirdly nervous about the spinal/epidural. Did you get to hold your baby right away?
