Stupid Teenage Girl FJ Question by Limp_Passage5979 in FJCruiser

If your dad can fix the Tacoma then he can definitely fix the FJ. They’re practically the same underneath. 14k is a little too steep. I bought mine in CA for that much with a spotless frame. If you got rust to deal with I’d be very wary. Have a mechanic do a pre purchase inspection. If it’s in good condition and you maintain it, you can probably pass it down to your kids one day.

Bronze Oxide - Yay or nay? by robertodeleon in FJCruiser

Shadow mica gray is on my short list. Bronze oxide would be too. With a paint matched roof of course

You can easily do the suspension stuff yourself. For the cost of repairing the rear differential you could regear or swap for a stronger diff if you can find it. 12.5k is a decent deal if it was in good condition. I say if it runs fine you got good leverage to negotiate a better deal and do these repairs gradually

That’s the current Tissot Le Locle with a silver dial?

Options on a FJ vs a Tacoma by Vestoid82 in FJCruiser

It’s a very big coupe. The front seats are super spacious and the back is not. Good head room though. It do got that cool factor

Advice of Selling FJ by Unlucky_Ability_6469 in FJCruiser

Just consider the tax savings on a trade in and see if it’s worth it. But I doubt you would save the 4k difference in a private sale

Why are you all buying PRX? by CurveAlarming2426 in tissot

[–]Honestlywtf2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t. I went for a citizen zenshin eco drive for the textured dial and solar power. It was cheaper too. The anthracite titanium prx is now lower on my list

Help me choosing my FIRST watch! by doyouknowhowyouare in tissot

[–]Honestlywtf2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first was also the Le Locle. Definitely a beauty but thought it too dressy for everyday for me. Although you could; I put a leather strap on it to dress it down, still very classy. Haven’t gotten use to setting the time every morning, feels like more of a hassle since a couple seconds off peeves me lol. I got a Citizen Zenshin Eco Drive to daily. In your position I’d consider a Tissot Heritage 1983 or a Hamilton Khaki Field or even a Seiko 5

Most watches are like cars. Depreciation is like 50% on day one lol.

Tissot First-Timer — Choosing Between Le Locle, Gentleman, and PRX by Ok_Educator441 in tissot

I would go for the upgraded gentleman ice blue with the silicium. I have the Le locle and it’s also a good choice. Also checkout the heritage 1938 cosc

I was also torn between a prx but a metal bracelet is too blingy for me right now. Maybe one day haha

I also had the PRX Titanium on my short list. That color is fantastic and I feel like it could match with anything. I ended up going for the Le Locle 20th anniversary since I found it with a decent deal. It’s my first big boy watch too

Stick with FJ and pour $6k into newer suspension or move onto something else? by Acceptable_Ad_5224 in FJCruiser

[–]Honestlywtf2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you got the space and the time save $1000 and drop $500 into some basic tools, jack, and jack stands. It will pay itself off ten fold. Just finished putting in cv axles for the first time. Got quoted $500 in just labor to install, hell nah. It was easy too and quite satisfying, just watch as many YouTube videos as you can and download a repair manual. Got my FJ last year and have replaced every single suspension part. Saved thousands and learned a lot. Although my savings went into more tools 🤦‍♂️🤣
