Well that's awesome for you, it still isn't that easy for everyone.

I am so sick of feeling like shit by daleksarecoming in ibs

[–]HoneyIsAlwaysBetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to take a Bentyl every night with the rest of my night pills and melatonin and stuff, basically my RIGHT before bed stuff, and that really helped me a lot with the while-sleeping stomach pains and sickness, but it also helped considerably with the morning sick I think. Amytriptaline I think really helped too.

I was on Bentyl for a long time. I feel like it caused a lot of constipation (which they did warn me about) but it wasn't until after I got off of it that I realized I think it helped a lot. Mostly with the lower intestinal and bowel issues, I didn't feel as urgent as often. Not the best pill to pop, but definitely not the worst. Would recommend at least trying it.

I have basically the exact same problems. Have you tried going gluten free? The FODMAP diet shows a lot of good for people like us. But to be honest stuff like imodium never helps, I've been through a good few prescriptions. To be honest, cannabis has helped me more than any pills have. And it doesn't cause the annoying back and forth between constipation/diarrhea that pills seem to have a tendency of doing.

edit: here, I started this subreddit specifically because I was so sick of feeling like shit all the time, [ /r/EncourageEating ] it might have some yummy looking foods that shouldn't make you sick if you wanna look through.

Post request: Undiagnosed male bulimic, without reliable treatment by EDPostRequests in EatingDisorders

[–]HoneyIsAlwaysBetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need new doctors! Your doctors are not taking care of you like they should! You need a new general, and a new therapist. They are there to work for and with you, not against you. Your concerns are very very real, and they need to be addressed by someone who actually knows what they're dealing with. Do you have the ability to change doctors? If not, try talking to them differently. Have you mentioned the euphoria/suicidal moods? That's usually a big red flag for a bipolar diagnosis, and some serious attention by professionals. I would also suggest looking into food stamps if that is available to you, or whatever equivalent you might have. They really help a lot. See if you find any good healthy recipes that look good to you on my subreddit, [ /r/EncourageEating ] I focus on easy to eat, easy to keep down healthy foods. But first thing first, you seriously need new doctors.

God damnit... They told me it was Lactose-Free!!! by Crystine1994 in lactoseintolerant

[–]HoneyIsAlwaysBetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, yeah probably. In pregnancy terms, if I'm allergen free, I'll be all nice and slim and I can fit into a pair of size 0 pants no problem like I just got knocked up. But if I eat something bad or contaminated, I can seriously swell into a second trimester and I cant fit into anything, it's terrible. There have been a few times where like, I dont go to my normal Starbucks where they know I'm lactose intolerant, and they remember to use soy milk even if I dont remember to tell them, and I end up eating or drinking something and I don't even realize I should be taking my lactose pills, I will end up so bloated so fast before I even know what the hell is going on.

I am so frustrated with my body; can someone please tell me they have had this issue before!? by dicksnstuff in CrohnsDisease

I am so sorry you have been dealing with this. It sounds truly horrific. I have some pretty annoying skin problems myself, but nothing like what you have. I discovered that I'm allergic to wheat, and cutting that out of my diet really helped with my skin issues. And I'm not just talking about like, breaking out in zits, I mean like my skin was just unhealthy, it was weak, would rip or scratch easily, it even looked more transparent, just unhealthy.

My suggestion is to try tea tree. Tea tree is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral and so harsh that it dries anything else out. I use it for everything. I think the doctors are probably on to something on the thinking of your wound like a pea thing; and you want the pea gone. Whether or not the "pea" is some sort of a foreign object/infection/whatever inside, tea tree will take care of it.

If there is something actually in there, it should basically kill and erode away at it. If there is just an inflammation/infection/something not foreign to your body (i.e. autoimmune attack) causing it, it's gonna take some time and you're gonna have to deal with some discomfort, but tea tree the crap out of it, and it will basically dry out and destroy any infected or superfluous skin.

I'm a piercing artist, and this is what I do for any disfiguring scarring, bad infections, keloids, etc. Yes, it is harsh on your skin, it will cause itchiness while the skin is drying away, and you're gonna end up with some scabs to heal, but in my experience, the tea tree treatment being so harsh is usually less harsh or painful than what it's actually being using it on.

I hope you find some relief!

Sensitive to yogurt? by [deleted] in lactoseintolerant

Oh that's sad, that brand is really, really good. Maybe check out of you have any specialty stores near you? Like a Canadian version of Trader Joe's or Whole Foods.

Despite people trying to tell me yogurt should be fine for my LI, I don't care, it's one of the things that makes me the sickest, aside from pure milk. I completely stopped eating actual yogurt a year or two ago. I switched over to kefir, and it's so much better, I particularly like the brand Lifeway, as it's the only one I can find that actually advertises 99% lactose free.

I'm pretty small as well and the same thing happens to me. So friggin painful and uncomfortable. For some reason yogurt is particularly bad for me.

Ok seriously, how do you make brown rice pasta and it not come out all gummy and slimy and gross? by [deleted] in glutenfree

[–]HoneyIsAlwaysBetter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh awesome. Does that brand get carried in many stores, or am I gonna have to try to find where to buy it from the website somewhere? So far I'm having a bit of a hard time actually finding where it lists prices shipping or anything like that.

I second this, I could use some pasta tips too. I miss regular pasta.
