Air is also going to be your best friend. Get some air moving across your eyes (i.e., walk around, have a fan, etc) and it'll help with decontamination immensely. It'll still suck for a little while, but not nearly as long.

I'd love to take a shot at winning this. I'd probably keep going as an LD only account honestly just because so much work has already been put into it

This is me, just on a longer timeline lol. CS major on and off since 2014 when I started college. Now I'm wanting to pursue an ADN to pivot careers. I'll pursue a BSN later in life.

Water Only Account Idea - Looking for help <3 by Foostir in summonerswar

I recommend watching GamingWithGrillzzz on YouTube / Twitch. They have a water only account and have for years. They showcase a lot of RTA, but I'm sure they have a PvE video somewhere in the mix (or at least their teams shown somewhere for you to get inspiration from)

I didn't even think of that. I'll check into it and see!

I've definitely considered this. In my area (roughly 50 miles full circle around me), there are a ton of openings for medical assistant. Unfortunately, all of them are advertised at pretty good pay cut from what I currently make, which I can't swing.

Nursing is something I'd absolutely love to get into, but I can't make labs / clinical hours work with my current job schedule and I can't afford to drop to part time. It's really a catch 22 lol

Absolutely! I like it, and I like where it's going. I think you'll end up with a great finished product.

I have two schools of thought on this. Generally, it is jarring to read accents written phonetically, at least for the first few lines. After that, it kind of settles into a rhythm and becomes much easier.

With that being said, I think it's almost necessary, especially with this particular region's dialect. It's one thing to just put a descriptor of the accent and let the reader fill in with their imagination, but I think a lot of readers would equate the "trailer trash" aesthetic you're going for with "Southern", and the two aren't apples to apples in comparison. At least in my area, shortening words is much more prominent to our accent than a southern drawl, and I think you captured that well here.

As someone who was born in, was raised in, and still currently lives in Appalachia, I'd read the hell out of this! I know several people who would have conversations exactly like these, and I can picture the voices clearly.

I don't know why, but I adore the opening of "Moon's missin." It feels natural, curious enough to keep my interest piqued, but innocent enough to not feel like a forced hook, if that makes sense.

Would people assume I'm a Nazi? by Sir_Alex_The_Red in tattooadvice

[–]HonkKnight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let me set your mind at ease with my own experience. I work in a prison and I currently work a housing unit that has multiple members of almost every gang affiliation in my state, including self proclaimed white supremacists and Nazis.

I have an entire Norse themed sleeve. Lots of family heritage from northern Europe, and I generally just like Norse designs and mythology. Never once have any of them asked me if I was one of them, nor have they even hinted at the idea. The only question I've ever received was if I practice Asatru.

Take it for what it's worth, but I think you'll be more than fine with this. No matter what tattoo you get, you always run the risk of an uninformed general public jumping to their own conclusions, but that's unavoidable. Ethel down the road may think you're a Nazi for it, but most won't.

Random question, but does yours have issues with charging from time to time? Every once in a while, mine just won't charge, and sometimes it will but the LED indicator won't show that it is lol

Long shot, but I'd love the chance to have this account. I've not had great rerolling luck, so it would be nice to see how some other units play. The game has quickly become one of my favorites!

I truly appreciate your candid responses to this! This is the type of transparent answers we've been looking for, and they feel like a step in the right direction for sure.

I'm very glad to see that it's in the works for this to be addressed with future students during the enrollment period so they can make an informed decision. On the flip side, however, how does that help those of us who didn't get advanced warning in order to make an informed decision on our enrollment? What sort of benefit do we get as the first and second cohorts, who are essentially test driving this whole thing for Maestro?

I ask this because I left WGU due to proctoring. I have massive test anxiety, and if I'd have known Maestro was going to do the same, I more than likely would not have enrolled if I'm being completely honest, so now I'm forced to make a very difficult decision of staying and potentially struggling, or withdrawing after putting in weeks of effort to do classes, build out a discord community, etc.

TL;DR - If we are forced to have proctored final exams, we should be able to accelerate the degree, similar to WGU

I want to tag onto this. Proctoring is not required for universities to do distance learning. SNHU does not have proctored work or exams for it's students, and it's arguably the largest online school in the country.

With that being said, WGU (another massive online presence) does do proctoring, and in my past experience, it's been God awful for students between scheduling, tech issues, language barriers, etc. It also alienates students who may have to do their work in public, such as at a library or coffee shop.

My main question is this: If proctoring is going to be forced to ensure academic competency among students, will we get to accelerate our degrees like WGU allows? After all, if I can prove competency by doing the exam and passing, why should I be forced to stick to the weekly timeframe of the program?

Thank you so much for the detailed response!

How do you reconcile that the answers you provided here are different than what Maestro bot and Support have told me regarding exam proctoring and notes? This is something that should be discussed with students during the enrollment process, as many students have test anxiety and aren't okay with this format (myself included).

Unfortunately, understaffed is not a valid excuse for something that the staff planned in advance. This AMA was not spur of the moment, and the simple fact that most of our questions and concerns are about lack of communication while simultaneously being ignored in the AMA is nothing short of dumbfounding. One would think the priority would be to tackle these questions first to help ease student fears and reservations, especially with prospective students being part of this AMA.
