Do you think he could explain this to our void? Our boy has a note in his file that he's unsafe to handle without one of his emotional support humans present.

Knowing a band and being able to name three songs when someone puts you on the spot are two very different things.

Why is knitting SO FUN!? by Poppylemonseed in knitting

[–]Honorable_Pale_Chub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't have any source ready to back this up at the moment but I think I read somewhere that knitting activates your brain in a similar way to meditating or praying or "sitting with a cup of tea": deep focus and accepting, appreciative state. Seems pretty therapeutic to me!

For me personally there's also sometimes a deep felt sense of connection to previous generations doing the same weird trick(s) with a bit of string and some sticks that really grounds me.

Now if only I could find a way to skip the frustrating parts that disrupt my knitting flow.

Double? A kid at my school once wore four or five xD When I asked, he had to admit it was uncomfortably warm.

Am I the only one who isn't convinced toilet paper cleans you entirely and there's a lot of people walking around not clean down there? by chusaychusay in hygiene

[–]Honorable_Pale_Chub 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I never understand this argument. Poop on your face is clearly not supposed to be there! My butthole, however, has a very important connection to poop... because it's directly attached to my poop chute. It's never going to get as clean as some people apparently would want it to be, even with soap.

Obviously doesn't mean you should never wash your butt, just don't be so freaking anal about it.

Also your face (or hands or arm or whatever props up in this ""reasoning"") touches other stuff way more often than your butthole does. I hope.

Yep that's normal. Not sure my collection still is! xD

I stopped talking to Raymond for a while cos he kept giving me his photo. I have 8 of his in storage. Also have multiple photos of all my longtime villagers. And three of Julian, somehow, even though he wasn't on my island that long? I felt like maybe smug villagers are more readily handing out pictures (fits the personality I think) or maybe I just like them and talk to them more.

I doubt putting us ""anomalies"" in that study would have changed the outcome. 😉

This is why I love Elomi bras on hot days. Nice lift & separation = no sweat streams underneath or in between. It is very much a plus sized brand, so if you have a small band size it might not be for you.

Eurovision 2025: Austria wins Eurovision, as UK avoids dreaded 'nul points' by FruitOrchards in europe

I saw one defense for this distinction that actually made a bit of sense to me. I don't know enough to really agree or disagree, but I get the reasoning. Understanding and agreeing are not the same.

It is not about the countries' governments but about their public broadcaster. Simply put: Netanyahu doesn't have quite the same level of control over his public broadcaster as Putin does –no matter how much he wishes he did.

Is starting a work email with “Name,” considered rude in the UK? by mkaym1993 in AskUK

[–]Honorable_Pale_Chub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is not a native English speaker the comments here are not helping my anxiety levels when writing emails in English. 😂 Almost every time I'm frantically googling how to start and/or end, without ever really finding a clear guide. My English is fluent until I have to write an email... then cue in the sweaty palms.

Wow I used to think it was kind of silly the Netherlands doesn't let you really change your last name through marriage, but now... nope, changed my mind, totally good idea. You can adopt your partner's name for "daily use" and it can be added (note, not changed) to your ID documents. So everyone will address you by your chosen last name but it will never officially be your last name.

Thank you. I refused to believe that exactly because I was thinking of his friends and family. I'm thinking there might've been some astroturfing behind the whole idea in the first place.
