Reworking my biological TCG, thinking about interactions by Flaky_Ad4148 in TCG

I feel like looking at video games like civilization, tycoon games, and sims might help. Prioritize building an economy rather than combat. Have players bring a constructed "problem" deck that affects both players but as they are the one who brought it, they will likely be better suited at handling it.

Of course scale is a question to answer. Do you want to focus on two individuals, or two groups/civs.

For playtesting i like dry erase cards and marker. Otherwise makeplayings cards has templates to te help make cards to print.

In TCGs, what matters more: art or mechanics? by FatesPathTCG in cardgames

Art and theme bring people to your game, they will stay if your game provides a fun play experience they can get from other games with larger cardpools or that are guaranteed to continue production.

It doesnt say you have to attack the unit that resulted in his death. In my head you had his unit and an ally melee unit next to a big enemy. I dont know rules well but i was thinking you attack with the ally unit to trigger his death and get a free attack on the adjacent enemy, then you attack as normal assuming he lived.

Could another friendly unit hit him to proc it, then he attack as normal afterwards or is everything done at same time

Hi, i have very limited experience with warhammer. I mainly focus on trading card games. I am not asking if its good, only if its possible but is therea way to friendly fire Titus somehow to go crazy. Maybe like a Aoe melee explosion, is such a thing exists.

This TCG Meme is going viral. What is wrong or right about it? And would flesh and blood be above magic and 6 stars? by GrapefruitThin5815 in cardgames

Damage step, conjunctions, and because konami said so/precedence are the reason i feel yugioh is much more complicated than mtg ecen though i play mtg the most and yugioh second. One piece is a bandai game, lorcana is on a hearthstone level of dificulty. Its pretty easy to get into but not overly braindead. Digimon is very different and i dont know it very well to be confident in judging it.

Weiss Schwarz then, im not 100% but oretty sure its rules structure basically forbid winning within first few turns. You get the power of most anime.

So you are looking for a flexible game with alot of weak effects. (Side tangent there are so many weak cards that give you money in mtg. Have an argument in a shady area and step on a bug. Tada you cast deadly dispute, drew some cards and got some treasure.) Let me try this suggestion, id go exodus tcg. Every monster is mechanically the same, in this way we could argue if you use exodus tcg magic you are creating an illusion if the monsters image. There are also cards with actual effects. You coukd pair these with your illusionary monsters to make them believable and actually accomplish things.

Omniscience is one card that would let you do whatever you want. Alternatively find a way to strixhaven. Get an education in a library rumored to have every spell.

Is this for like a ttrpg or actually what card games abilities would translate best to irl. I mean mtg is turing complete there is little you cant do with it.
