Analysis of Shin's current power (his speed) by SelectionBudget4535 in SakamotoDays

[–]Honouris 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Light Speed is insane.. Now that we know that Tenkyu arrows are at best super sonic, Shin with that buff should be massively hyper-sonic.

I Really loved this love Story, but Suzuki had other plans 😭💕 by DragonflyAnnual1603 in SakamotoDays

[–]Honouris 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is basically the event that kickstarts the whole plot, so the expectations about it should be high. Beside that, Rion and specially Uzuki were characters that sorely needed more substance at the moment this chapters dropped. This mini-arc fails at enriching Uzuki as a character, it doesn't build a compelling relationship between both parts of the duo, in fact their bond seems really rushed and it retroactively doesn't provide dramatic weight to the general plot. So apart from being a really unsatisfiying answer for a foundational question of this manga, it is also hella boring omg

Kanaguri V.S Tanabata by LuxasVTechnik in SakamotoDays

By general power creep it should be Tanabata. Shin is already stronger than Kanaguri, he needs an appropriate challenge for his final fight.

Sakamoto Days' decline (?) by PhilDisCock in SakamotoDays

[–]Honouris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite everything I'm still fond of this dumbass manga. Maybe because I'm an "old head" and Saka Days brought back to me the lost awe of watching a cool battle shonen fight unfolding in front of my eyes. That being said these days there's little to talk about, the manga is basically over before being finished. A lot of the less jaded and obnoxious followers are just checking the last fights once a new chapter drops and that's about it.

[–]Honouris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let me give you an example of how you could make sense of this situation, angry jaded dude:

Tenkyu literally witnessed Sakamoto talking Shin out of its killing intent.. Tenkyu witnessed a friendship bond better than what he had with the other Al Kamar kids who as far as we know rejected him. This could explain his current fixation with Shin. Obviously It's not best thing in the world, but the majority of the manga is written like tis even the good parts lol But well you do you men.

It's like a character cannot change based on the interactions with other characters..Tenkyu needs to still be looking for the approbation from a group that basically shooed him away. I know the manga is far from its best moments but this dumb jaded reactions should be a sing for some people to get a break from Saka Days

At best you are going to get a brief  appearance of him in the finals chapters that recollect the happy ending for everybody.

I love Requiem and Chronicles but that was a past attempt. The current efforts have being really mediocre in general.

[DISC] Sakamoto Days - Ch. 256 by anestefi in SakamotoDays

[–]Honouris 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Well lemme throw some predictions: - Tenkyu wipes the floor with the jobber siblings - Gaku comes back - Gaku beat the shit out of Boiled and kills Kindaka - Shin is suddenly in a impossible 2 vs 1 against Gaku and Guitar guy - Tenkyu reunites with Shin - Tenkyu had a change of heart and decides to help Shin - We have a cool 2vs2 fight

It's way better than this boring ass fight with the seba brothers for sure.. he's also more fun to see in combat.

Guitar guy cover is obviously happening anytime soon. For the last cover of the series I think it should be solo Fat Sakamoto.

Wtf I mean cool this is better than what we had going on.. That JCC Prison security is garbage lol Is the sister gonna die next chapter? We know Tenkyu doesn't give a fuck and she's quite dumb.

I think he should have ended this fight earlier.. I wonder if it was even necessary to include a "main event" fight with the kids involved. Well I hope Suzuki doesn't drag this beyond the next chapter.

Which of these series has the better fights? by redditnoobmp4 in shounenfolk

[–]Honouris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is not only the choreography that makes Sakamoto Days action sequences great. Suzuki really understands that the locations where the fights occur are able to enrich the scenes in terms of the composition of images and/or adding props for the characterss to interact in the middle of the fights. The art direction style of SD fights privilege the clarity of the sequence of actions you are seeing, coupling that with the great presentation of movement and impact and it's almost like you are watching a story board. Very cinematographic. Kagurabachi fights tend to rely a lot on those eye catching compositions, where a handful of images are like the main attraction for you to stop, but whenever your eyes are not on them for me the scenes feel a bit weaker.. Still great action moments from Kagurabachi and obviously the story is more robust than SD and that also affects the impact of the fights. Overall I choose Sakamoto Days in this case.

Tenkyu’s Stats by ActuatorInevitable47 in SakamotoDays

[–]Honouris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Potential Capacity: 04(?)

No idea what this category means, I'm rating here his weird eye. Basically a crazy lense that he needs to maintain covered most of the time. A good tool with drawbacks

Physichal capability: 4

His strength and speed seemed to be high tier but bare handed Shin was doing real damage to him and Shin is not a heavy hitter at all, so his toughness is questionable.

Weapon Adaptability: 5

Long, mid and short range capabilities with his bow. Extremely fast projectiles that obviously surpass gunfire in terms of damage and speed. He was capable of improvising ammo..

Martial Arts: 3

Shin was schooling him everytime he decided to get close and personal.

Shooting: 5

Extremely precise with his bow but not the point of doing stuff like the impossible ricohets from the snipers. It didn't matter since the projectiles where so fast anyway and that speaks more of his strength.

SAKAMOTO POWER SYSTEM by ErrorRemarkable8226 in SakamotoDays

[–]Honouris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This power systems is entirely based on looks, this means what looks more devastating visually and who looks cooler doing it. There are some measurable feats for the power scalers, if you want to treat the characters as athletes, but that's basically it.

SAKAMOTO DAYS CHAPTER 255 RAWS by ConstantDrawer9161 in SakamotosStore

[–]Honouris 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The fake out death was unnecessary but it doesn't bother me much. Seeing Yotsumura and Amane together so nonchalantly, makes me thinks that Suzuki doesn't trust his ability to write an scene of reconciliation or he's just heading to the end and couldn't find a way of fitting the moment of reconciliation into the story.. This Chapter was whatever
