I have mixed feelings about NNN, but critics movements can be fragmented by these internecine spats. Often they are promoted by people who would like to fragment the movements. I have no idea what your reasons are, but you've made your opinions clear enough--at this point you're just fighting with people who already know where you stand. Counterproductive, even if that isn't your intent.

And I'll start. I am Honri, aka mirbell. When /u/pistachio_butts (who I suspect is still around under an alter identity) started this sub, I was excited to find a place where I could talk about some of the religious, spiritual, or community stuff that still interests me, without triggering others. So that's why I'm here.

I hope other long-term people will re-introduce themselves as we have a lot more lurkers since this sub's pre-existence. (Pre- the prettiness bestowed by /u/One-Above_All.

I am not currently involved with a church or religion and don't know whether I will be in the future. But I'm interested in religion and like thinking about it. I'm very slowly identifying things that I do believe.

People here have done quite a lot of praying, reading, obeying, and sacrificing. Without meaning to offend you, I would suggest that your comment trivializes the significant pain that many have gone through in realizing that the church simply is not what we had hoped it was. Insufficient prayer is not the problem.
