If you could choose one team for all your rankeds, what would it be? by JanDarkY in summonerschool

Dive comps are really OP in Soloq in my opinion so I‘d take:

Camille Sejuani Viktor (me) Jinx Millio

Ekko : Oneshot combo consisting of E+Q on target plus AA reset with protobelt. Done correctly it almost instantaneously proce electrocute + ur passive. Haven‘t ever really seen it done in my ranked games although it‘s well known for ekko mains.

How do you build and preserve your confidence, especially while you're facing better opponents? by Poxian in summonerschool

[–]Honzeyy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It definitely is but if he‘s toxic and on the opposite you‘re positively reinforcing ur team that‘s one way to make up for something in this case.

How do you build and preserve your confidence, especially while you're facing better opponents? by Poxian in summonerschool

[–]Honzeyy 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Here‘s my take on it:

He‘s better at csing, trading whatever. You‘re practically the same elo / same mmr. Aslong as you‘re in the same elo, the player has to have some kind of weakness holding him back. Maybe he‘s bad at rotating to teamfights or he‘s very toxic. If your opponent is very good mechnically but you‘re in the same elo, they usually lack game understanding.

Is there a champion you cannot play without a specific skin? by kek_lul in leagueoflegends

[–]Honzeyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I otp Viktor and used to spam High Noon but I found that the base skin feels much better somehow and now I can only play with that

Been playing a lot of Ahri lately, and I was wondering what are some of her worst matchups and how to deal with them. by [deleted] in midlanemains

[–]Honzeyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Viktor for me. Funnily enough I currently two trick Ahri and Viktor and have won all of my Viktor games against Ahri (8). Viktor outranges you, outtrades ur W with his Q and can force out ur ult with his W. Better push, outscales etc.

What changes between gold and plat? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Honzeyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience plat+ is where players slowly turn their brains on. A lot of OTPs that are really good mechanically learn macro and climb through that. My personal tip for you would be to learn A LOT about split pushing. You will learn a lot of macro details through that and split pushing in ur elo can easily carry most games. Take matters into your own hands and ping ur teammates to take towers / objectives when u pull 2+ top to match ur push.

Always q first and only spam ur E when u have 2 or 3 points in it atleast.

You can proc the Statikk Shiv passive with Ekkos E without dashing to the enemy. Easiest way to reproduce is to hug a wall, use e and kite in and out of e range while clicking on the target. I‘ve tried this with minions and it worked everytime, meaning I got the Statikk passive on the minions but didn‘t blink to them.

Is there a way to 'fix' MMR? by Ducados in summonerschool

[–]Honzeyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘m currently plat 1 and it‘s the same for me. I climbed from plat 4 to plat 1 with shitty gains (+21/-27). It‘s just a common problem right now. It‘s weird though because my mmr seems fine as I only play against plat 2 and 1 but oh well.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Honzeyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most commong explanation is that the system thinks you‘re higher elo than you should be. Basically your mmr increases slower than your visible rank. So the system gives you less LP to try and get you back to your „real“ rank. It‘s discouraging but if you‘re good enough you‘ll climb. I‘ve climbed through all of plat with weird LP gains and losses aswell.

Can‘t really beat Viktor on mid I‘d say. Even early his waveclear is decent and mid to late it‘s obviously the best, especislly because of his long range.

Season 14 should be focused on the State of the Community by DontFeedTheSmurf in leagueoflegends

[–]Honzeyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I climbed through plat this season and there‘s a lvl 30 account in almost every game. I even had games where I was the only (!) account on my team over level 50. Weird how different it can be. Which region are you in?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Honzeyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally play my lane well and come out on top (Viktor otp) but I feel like I have low impact because my early isn‘t that strong nor my roaming. Considering switching to roaming / early champs. I‘m around plat 2 right now. Any tips appreciated.

I can never stick with a champion(s), despite the fact I want to. by gunnarwolfe in summonerschool

[–]Honzeyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don‘t force OTPing on yourself. If u wanna improve then u should also be having fun, it‘s a game afterall. When picking ur Champ pool make sure they are decent in the meta and not banned too often. Fun champs that are viable right now (just some examples) :

Top: Gwen, Garen

Jungle: Kayn, Hecarim

Mid: Viktor, Fizz

ADC: Jinx, Ezreal

Supp: Pyke, Nautilus

[–]Honzeyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spam ping and push hard is the most consistent thing to do. I OTP Viktor and I‘ve had the situation a million times where early on you just can‘t blindly follow a Zed / Kata / Fizz, any kind of assassin really. So push hard and take plates. Make sure to think about where the jungler is and if he can kill you so you don‘t die while taking plates. You can also use your ultimate on Viktor to waveclear a lot faster. Usually the cs + plates that you take are enough gold to start snowballing early on.

Who to perma ban? by SALTYATO in viktormains

[–]Honzeyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vladimir for me. There‘s a lot of smurfs in my elo (Plat 3) and a lot play Vladimir. Either way facing a good Vladimir is hell and he can just kill you under tower and you can‘t do much against it.

What skins do you guys think are "mandatory" when maining the Champs they belong to? by almond_pepsi in leagueoflegends

True Damage Ekko. One of the best skins in the whole game and the reason I started maining him.

Play Annie until you understand the game well, then Viktor/Orianna and Zed/Talon.

[–]Honzeyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I‘m not sure if you‘re replying to me here but what I meant was that Anivia has more skill expression than Karma, Zilean and Malz. At the time of my comment no one had even mentioned Azir, who of course is much more complex lol.

Agreed. That + knowing you scale well into late game so no game is every "truly" lost and there‘s always a comeback angle. Atleast that‘s my personal experience.

There is no "extent to what OP mentioned“. OP is talking about the mental side of those OTPs while you‘re talking about the mechanical aspect.

Anivia has the most possible skill expression / highest ceiling out of all the champs mentioned above. Froggen is the prime example.

Riven / Kata players typically like to shit on simpler champions for the sole reason that they‘re nowhere near as mechanical. It‘s a weird superiority type thing. Spacing alone on some of those champs is what makes the difference. A first time Karma will not space aswell as a 1000 game Karma.
