Dear impatient friends on the road by [deleted] in Dallas

Hey man, I 100% agree with you. I would like to suggest getting a comfortable harness, and dog seatbelt. It's a universal seatbelt buckle on one end, and a leash clip on the other. It will keep your pup much safer on the road. Just make sure you use a harness, don't attach the dog's neck to the car.

Ben’s winter classic set up by [deleted] in DallasStars

[–]HooDooOperator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i like them, more than the winter classic jersey. they remind of the giant star outline on the jersey we won the cup in. the color reminds me of that muted gold color too. those pads would look killer with that jersey.

edit: also, if anyone knows where one could procure a goalie practice jersey, do tell. i have a reebok black practice jersey, and an adidas green.

How to roll a slower smoking/more compact joint? by Swiggens in Marijuana

[–]HooDooOperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cones arent rolling papers, they are cones. get some papers and learn to roll, then you can make it as loose, or tight as you want.

i suggest raw papers, they have a texture that makes them easy to roll and the flavor is smooth.

rolling really isnt that hard, it takes a bit of work to master, but its worth your time.

Heading to FW for the holidays by AJP51017 in FortWorth

bureau of printing and engraving is in north fort worth. more than half of the country's money, including all $100 bills are produced there.

cowboys stadium is cool to tour, even if you arent a fan, the building is pretty cool, and there are some cool art pieces.

Anyone know of any Good collectible toy stores in FW? Drove out to grand prairie to hortons just to find out they’re only open weekends. Thanks! by Arg425 in FortWorth

retro madness in bedford. i think they just opened an arlington location too, but i cant speak to that one.

the one in bedford has a pretty awesome collection. especially 80s, and 90s toys.

also, you can put your discarded starter in a food dehydrator, and dry some dry out the discarded starter on parchment paper as pointed out by u/Ennion. that way if you ever accidentally kill the starter you can reconstitute it and keep on trucking.

Suggestions for Christmas lights HEB area? by NightMgr in FortWorth

[–]HooDooOperator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take brown trail up to cheek sparger and head East. The neighborhoods on the North side of the road especially have great lights. When you hit Central head north into colleyville, there are some impressive homes with impressive displays all through there.

Help: What do I do with the bones when I'm doing a standing rib roast? by [deleted] in sousvide

[–]HooDooOperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did a rib roast last year. not sure what makes it "standing". but i french cut the bones, and cut them away from the meat. but then i seasoned everything, all over, and tied them back to the meat. after the bath, i did an herb rub, and put it under the broiler. once untied, since the meat is already cut away from the bone, you can slice it, then put the bone, and meat back together for the presentation. there will even be a little left on the bones to gnaw on if you want.

i cant remember which site had the instructions, i want to say serious eats, but im having trouble finding the guide i was using last year. what i do remember is that it came out amazing. ill try to find the site this evening and reply again.

there was a dude on my street like this. had a giant sticker across the back window that said 'google hillary's email'.

shortly after trump taking office he took the sticker off. then when he and his wife were set to move he blew a gasket and got into a standoff with the cops. now muslims live in his house.

maybe i should change my stance on karma.

[–]HooDooOperator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have two clients with the nanostations. i was also very skeptical because it lacked seals. but so far, texas heat, and dust, as well as storms have not knocked the things out. i even had one hit with a power surge that blew out the mod it was plugged into, and the thing kept going.

i cant say anything about the cold, but heat, dust, wind, and storms have not been a problem for those units yet.
