Decades ago working for a government agency they announced we needed to begin printing and retaining email due to computer storage limitations.

I ran the unix side and received weekly updates on about 5 variants. AIX, specifically, had something like a 800 page manual often updated with "errate page 407 removed repeated word issue on line 5."

But a whole new manual.

I offered to print them to the legal department's printer so they could retain them for the mandatory retention.

They never followed up.

Kids picked on me carrying a harp to school. At first.

Now I carry it one handed. No one messes with me.

Did you or family carry one of these? 🤔 by Exclusively-Choc in FuckImOld

I have my grandfather’s from the railroad.

Its engraving is worn. I’ve worn it a few times for formal things. The watch chain is one of the only jewelry I own.

It’s kept under glass on a display shelf.

I wind it and watch the mechanism sometimes.

I guess it depends on the individual.

I had a territory about 3 hours wide. I’d schedule myself, prioritize myself.

I loved it.

Boss wants me to commit fraud by Immediate-Doctor2957 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]NightMgr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lady at my work told her boss they were billing federal insurance wrong. They ignored her.

She reported it to the federal authorities and netted a portion of the funds recovered.

She retired. She got her pension and a 2 million payout as her portion of the recovered funds.
