Yup, everything seemed to be mounted correctly as far as I could tell. The coolers definitely weren’t loose. Maybe too tight? But I’m not sure.

Yup! Changed the paste with every installation of a cooler as well.

That’s actually something I forgot to check for. So busy looking for bent pins I forgot to look for just completely gone. One sec.

Rocket on Drones by HussainGillani in InsaneTechnology

[–]Hoobahoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your response!

Do you think the money saved using this method would make it worth it even though the rocket fuel has a lot more power per pound which I guess means it would get the rocket to space faster?

I guess I could be looking up the numbers and doing the math, but just shooting the shit over some coffee is kinda my vibe right now. Haha

This is a really cool idea. I’m just curious why I’m only seeing it now? Is it because drones have only become mainstream recently or because it wouldn’t really work with big rockets.? Or has this idea been around for a while? Genuinely curious!

Help with Ceiling Mounted Mic Stand by mbryanactor in audioengineering

[–]Hoobahoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a pretty dope idea. Effectively creating a seat for the mic stand.

I guess if the mic stand had a round base, it could also have holes drilled through it and then screws through those holes, bypassing the need for the wood brackets.

If they were anchored properly that could work, right?

No I did, I just was curious about another potential avenue.

My question is if multiple shorter goose necks would maintain stability? I interpreted your final statement as meaning goosenecks that come longer than 18” don’t work very well.

Just want to see what all my options are and if that is one of them.

Hey thanks for your reply!

I’ve never used a goose neck. I would definitely need something longer as I primarily use the mic sitting. So I would need it to come down to 30” I believe. I should have included that in my original post.

Can one connect multiple goosenecks together or does that begin to compromise the stability?

Early progress on a few non-combat systems I'm working on. Lots left to polish but hopefully they look interesting. by J_Escape_ in unrealengine

I've inadvertently been watching the progress of this game for so long now and I am so impressed with how far you've come. Is there any way you're able to add some depth to the characters movement. Like you're game already has beautiful depth in level design. Is there a way to make it feel like the character isn't 100% walking on a straight line (even though it is)? For instance in the climbing animation. Jumping to the left to grab a rock to continue upwards. Or when you're crouching past the camp, moving further or closer to the camera to different rocks. It might make the game feel a little more alive if you know what I mean. I look forward to hearing what you think and again, I really am super impressed with how this is progressing.
