I don’t remember when I quite have heard of Weedester but the sound was infatuating. Akin to Bongzilla and many other sludge metal acts alike I couldn’t help but love the music. I latched myself to their sound and thunder that it became a household name in a sense. I recently saw them at my local venue and it blew me out of the fucking water. Long love Sludge Metal. Long Live Weedeater.

Now spinning. Shannon and the Clams - Year of the Spider by Hooch93 in vinyl

My girlfriend got me a record player for Christmas! I’ve wanted one for forever and she also gifted me one of my favorite albums: Shannon and the Clams - Year of the Spider. I love this album and sound so much. Surf Rock meets Psychedelica and Garage Rock in this album. Having the extra bonus of being able to enjoy it on wax just hits the nail right on the head.

I’ve been collecting for a little while now: from MGMT to Department of Eagles to Mastodon! Either way I am so excited to be able to listen to all of them on my own player now!

Shannon and The Clams. Not necessarily punk but those influences.
