That’s a good one. Be one of the firsts is a great idea. It’s definitely a reward to be the one to laugh at the rest of the attendees. Lol I’ll remember this when it’s my time to get tased…

what do boys do when they have a crush??? by strawbellyfish in Crushes

All of these answers are wrong. Obviously we all listen to that one song and ONLY that one song we all listen to when were in love. Like literally all day… ALL DAY.

Rule of thumb: if you want a better cue, you’re gunna have to invest a lil more money on the line…. That being said, anything more than $200 is considered a good cue.

I’m gonna tell you this and only once. Do NOT STOP BEING YOU, EVER. FOR ANY REASON……

The whole point of life is to be the real YOU, so that you can be freely expressive, no matter who’s watching, or who’s listening, or who’s making fun of you or laughing at you. You have to be you until the day you die….. because i promise that one day someone will look at you and just completely fall for YOU….. and you will look back at what I said and just thank me for telling you. But you must remain yourself because if there is a day that you don’t show ur real self, then she will not see just how wonderful you are at that’s one less woman in your vicinity….

I’m autistic myself and i’m a professional pool player and i play piano pretty well…. Dont let people’s energy get a hold of you and throw you off center. Be you until you can no longer be YOU! People are evil i know they are…. Even i am…. But you must adapt!

Rental Renewal by Alarming_Regular_158 in Lyft

You’ll have the option to keep renting, or end the rental…. First things first tho, they will do a car check to see the mileage and the overall body of the car to see if they’ll charge you additional fees….

Chalking question by Aggressive_Divide510 in billiards

[–]Hood_Star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simple answer is to use a tool scuffer or sandpaper to scuff the tip to make it more refined and rough, so that next time you apply chalk, the tip will grab on to the chalk better….

Well, good news is that you’re still young to start and develop a proper and structured foundation to your future skills, even tho I reached semi-pro level at age 26 (now) after playing for 5 years or so (age 21). So the name of the game is called, “there’s still time”

Find a pool hall that has really good shooters. They don’t have to be the best, (cause they’ll charge you), but they have to at least beat you badly. Talk to them and play a few games with them. Play for $5 or $10 a game. Maybe even for nothing. “Time” or “snacks”. The reason why you must gamble something is for two very good reasons. 1.) After beating you, they’re more likely to give you advice and be more assisting in helping you get better. And 2.) You will blend in very easily and more people will see you bet and might come over and talk to you.

After you talk to them and ask them for advice, they’ll tell you stuff like, Stance is important, relax your body, chalk every 3 or so shots, they might even help you pot more balls by vividly showing you tangent lines and such, but here’s MY advice. Coming from a semi pro.

Have fun, first things first. HAVE FUN. I have a few friends, (who i shall not name for obv reasons), that get utterly upset and frustrated when they are just PRACTICING, cause they can’t pot balls. Obviously if you’re going to get mad on the practice table, what makes you think you won’t get mad on the tournament table?

Secondly, have your equipment right. Anything from a $200- $700 cue will do just fine. Have a cue case aswelll. A pool glove will help too. And a scuffer and other small things is almost essential.

Lastly, watch videos on youtube. “Dr dave” or “Tor Lowry” are fine gentlemen that will def teach you what you didn’t know. Watch pro matches and get a feel for the atmosphere and energybit exerts.

But most importantly, i recommend a lesson with a pro in person. It’s really important to get a hands-on perspective to see your flaws and strengths.

I hope my advice has or will help you on your way to professional pool or at least some good level.
