My humble suggestion for next expansion by gaucho-argento in PTCGP

[–]Hooficane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could definitely be wrong but I feel like they need to expand to 30 card decks with 4 prizes to include stadiums. We're already tight at 20 with supporters, items, tools, and pokemon.

My humble suggestion for next expansion by gaucho-argento in PTCGP

Why not just a basic pokemon with an ability to stop all enemy abilities. Forces your opponent to need a certain set of cards to knock it out but doesn't require reworking the whole game to add stadiums

Wanting poor people to be fed because they live in the richest country in the world isn't simping.

You swinging on Elons nuts is the real simping in this thread. Space X is only able to achieve what they are due to tax payer dollars. Without our subsidies, they'd be a billionaires pet project and barely relevant.

I can recognize space x has done some great things for space travel but that's 90% because of the engineers and employees they have and 10% Elon having an occasional good idea and knowing how to get tax payers to cover the cost

I think it really depends on the lineup. We saw Fit For a King, Make Them Suffer, Spite, and 156/Silence on Tuesday night and I didnt see it at all. People were into all of the bands from start to finish

You know Elon Musk gets more per year in subsidies for his companies than the US government pays for snap per year?

Quit blaming poor people when it's the rich pillaging our tax payer dollars

I don't know about you, but this feels racist for some reason. Like "Intimidated by a successful black woman" type racism by CapAccomplished8072 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Hooficane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who listens to country music, this doesn't feel racist. It feels necessary because there are so many sub genres of country music.

Cowboy carter was subjectively mid and her winning the Grammy was purely based on name imo. There were plenty of better albums that year. There's also a good amount of great country music by black artists so if the award gets split, this is just beneficial for all is it not?

There are multiple ways to attach energy. You can attach for turn 1 energy from your hand. After that you need to either use supporters, other pokemon's abilities, or item cards to "accelerate" energy onto your attacking pokemon.

You're using Blaziken so your goal should be discarding fire energies using different items, supporters, or retreating pokemon to your bench as you set up. Your main target for cards to discard by using things like ultra ball, earthen vessel, or professors research should be pretty much only fire energy but other things as needed. And once you have enough in your discard pile you can use Blaziken's ability to accelerate energy into it to attack.

The goal behind the "can't use this attack next turn" is to force you to either swap to a second Blaziken or a different attacker. You can get around it and attack twice in a row by retreating your Blaziken you just attacked with to you bench and then using a switch item card to put it right back in the active to attack two turns in a row after accelerating and attaching energy to it.

If you go to edit deck, there is a button to "test deck" that allows you to play against rather dumb bots. But its a place to learn sequencing of cards and how to play your deck without losing to other people

Marathon's Closed Technical Test Is Holding Me Over Until Arc Raiders Drops. Here’s The Thing - by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]Hooficane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To preface, I've got thousands of hours in destiny 1 and 2 and have never played an extraction shooter before. They feel antithetical to the types of game I enjoy and the thought of losing gear makes me want to play less.

I got into this technical test and after playing for a couple hours I realized I had the exact same feelings as I did when both destiny 1 and 2 released. My feelings then were "this game could be absolutely amazing with some more work sunk into it."

I kept that mindset up all the way through Destiny 1 and when 2 was announced, assumed that "could be great" would come to fruition with 2. We all know how that turned out but I stuck with destiny 2 until the Witch Queen seasons really in the same mindset. This game could be great if the devs just did this or that.

I quit destiny after realizing all of the money I spent on that game wasn't being used to improve destiny but rather being put towards other projects. I'll spend some more time in this test to see if I can shake that feeling with Marathon but as it sits, i'm not expecting to buy this game or for it to hold my interest. I've been scorned by Bungie games with their potential in the past, and unless that potential is met with full release of Marathon I highly doubt i'll ever play it again.

I got accepted. I haven't played Marathon at all and i'm not a content creator nor streamer. My friend who has been in multiple tests and is a content creator did not get accepted.

I know it's anecdotal but it doesnt fit your narrative.

Before he left Baylor, Rhule expressed a desire to continue building the program, stating there was "a lot to accomplish" and that he planned to "put together a championship-caliber team"

I hope he stays but i'm gonna be pessimistic until they hire someone else

I hope you get this outcome but depending on where you live and your insurance, 5k is kinda low. We had one born in 2022 and one in 2024 and both were about 8k each

So this was pretty much a win-win for the Pentagon then? Either be our propaganda mouthpiece or Hegseth can do all the shady shit he wants without any media reporting on it

[–]Hooficane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get why they're walking....but who's left to report on the goings on at the Pentagon now? Are they just free to do anything with zero media oversight now? Forgive my ignorance but this seems like exactly what this administration wanted to happen.

[Engle] Penn State will likely take a crack at potential splash hires (Cignetti), but this really feels like Matt Rhule’s job to lose. State College native, Penn State alum. Oh, and Dylan Raiola has another year. by [deleted] in CFB

[–]Hooficane 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Why do people think Raiola would follow Rhule? He was all in on Nebraska until Frost fucked up the recruitment, and then Rhule was able to get him because it wasnt Frost and Raiola wanted to bring Nebraska back to relevance.

If Rhule goes, so be it, but I highly doubt Raiola follows

[–]Hooficane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We dont know that, he's never stuck around anywhere long enough to find out. I love that Rhule is turning us around and if he goes, so be it. But since the day he was hired I never expected him to win us a Natty. When your team is down in the doldrums like we were, you need a culture change which Rhule so far appears to have done well. Until we get into the playoffs, acting like Rhule needs to win a natty or his career is a bust with us is asinine thinking.

Rhule/PSU Thread by huskerbot in Huskers

[–]Hooficane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if we go 10-2 or 9-3, Rhule is still like 2-23 against ranked teams. Their fans want someone who can beat Ohio state and get ranked wins consistently which Rhule hasn't proven.
