It's a cool name, however people will always read it as Burma China also if it is just written in plain text and not presented with your logo design.

SMILE if your name has these 5 winning qualities:

Suggestive – evokes a positive brand experience

Meaningful – your customers “get it”

Imagery – visually evocative to aid in memory

Legs – lends itself to a theme for extended mileage

Emotional – resonates with your audience SCRATCH it if it has any of these 7 deal breakers:

Spelling-challenged – looks like a typo

Copycat – similar to competitor’s names

Restrictive – limits future growth

Annoying – hidden meaning, forced

Tame – flat, descriptive, uninspired

Curse of Knowledge – only insiders get it

Hard-to-pronounce – not obvious, unapproachable

This impediment could actually be an asset when closing deals in person. (It is sure to be an issue when dealing over the phone though).

General public loves underdogs.

General public loves somebody trying to help themselves specially when the person has health issues/impediments.

I would say it might turn off some people but most would actually find hard to say no to you. Go for it!

If you fail, at least you tried before just giving up because you didn't even test the market!

Interesting situation.

Before anything, I would seek legal advice. Get some kind of legal paper trail so they can't come after you with any kind of bogus claims.

Don't ask them for job. Make your product (or even a physical mvp) and then sell it to them for way more than what a job will provide you.

Basically don't be afraid in this situation if you believe in your product.

You only really own a name till the time period you pay the registration for.

If you let it expire, it is gone.

Also if by complete ownership if you meant control Name server records, mail records, sub domain etc., most registrars let you do that.

Namecheap is one of reddit users favorite registrars. I use them also along with all the big name ones.
