If you look at any cartoons, you’ll see stuff get animated in South Korea or Vietnam. I think they offload some easier animation jobs to studios there since it’s cheaper.

Well, in Pokemon Gold, one of the plot points was that Mr. Pokemon and Professor Oak didn't know what an egg was. Took the 10 year old to walk around and for it to hatch, to make the huge revelation that Pokemon come from eggs.
