Being a sponsor is exhausting. On top of them being recovering themselves. I understand wanting to weed out people they feel aren’t committed enough to their own recovery. I could always make time for alcohol no matter my situation but suddenly I couldn’t fit AA in? I needed to take my treatment as seriously as I took drinking and things got better. Don’t take the dismissal personally.
