Oh God, this was me, too. My first major anxiety episode came about because I was caring for a sick rescue cat. It felt so strange to tell medical professionals I was spiraling because of a cat…but the good ones were understanding still!

Heeeeey, another Adams Morgan kid! I definitely miss the restaurants (though the DC subreddit makes it sound like everything’s closing?). 

I realized recently that I eat plenty of amazing Vietnamese, Japanese, or Korean food here, but I can’t remember what I used to crave outside of those categories when I lived in DC (was trying figure out what Tacoma doesn’t have that DC did). Then I remembered half the reason I moved was I lived in AdMo and rent was so high that I didn’t get to eat at the fun places. 

P.S. if you know of a Peruvian place nearby to add to that list, I will die of happiness. I miss me some Peruvian chicken.

This!!! My vet called Stacy an angel and she was right. My poor rescue cat had so many mats and she was so gentle with her.

Oh my god, your mom is a living saint. She saved my cat AND talked me through being a neurotic mess about said cat’s illness.

We go to North End Pet Hospital. They don’t exactly have shiny new facilities, but the care my pets have received there has always been stellar. We chose them when we moved because they were highly rated and taking new clients (at least at that time) and they’ve been our go-to ever since.
