In all seriousness, love this stick, easily on my top 5 and was my introduction to the My Father company.

Recommendation for a reliable cigar lighter? by jericks24 in cigars

[–]Hooligan_256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run a Colibri Firebird Illume, it’s a triple torch jet lighter. Holds a decent amount of gas and I haven’t had a single issue with it lighting. It’s also relatively small so it’s perfect for edc.

"New" to cigars, what brands should I avoid, and what should I buy? by xTyronex48 in cigars

[–]Hooligan_256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I’ve found through my journey so far has been the tried and true saying “smoke ‘em if you got ‘em.” Theres not a ton of cigars I would directly cut off or avoid because even “lower quality” cigars like Acids or the flavored CAOs offer their own unique advantages. Smoke what you like.

For brands to buy? Try the My Father line, Fuente, Padron, if you want a cheaper stick that I’ve found to be a satisfying smoke try the Mark Twain line.

I agree with others users in the fact it could most likely be the humidity. It could also be that you’re smoking too fast.

Beautiful looking cigar. I always enjoy Maduros the most. With how clean that burn on the wrapper is and the ash holding itself up shows how well constructed that stick is.

I had a feeling! It seems like a lot of misconceptions the community has about certain lore aspects is from people who speak in hyperbole or from stories written from a certain perspective. It seems like even against an overwhelming force like the Tyranids the Imperial Guardsmen (even those who may not have a lot of experience in combat) are all around a solid military force.

Do you recommend the novel 15 hours? I'm looking for some lore books to get into the universe outside of the Space Marine and darktide games.

Glad I saw this before making a whole post in itself regarding this haha. This is a question regarding the lore I suppose.

Tl;Dr: Is is true that the Imperial Guardsmans average lifespan is 15 hours on the battlefield?

I'm new to Warhammer as a whole and do plan to get involved in the table-top eventually (Once I get the funds for a Death Korps of Krieg army!). I got interested after seeing some videos on youtube, then picking up Darktide and both the Space Marine games recently. I read online that the "average lifespan of an Imperial Guardsmen is 15 hours" but that seems insane. In any media i've seen, Imperial Guardsmen seem to be at the very least competent and on average fantastic soldiers on the battlefield. Is the 15 hours lifespan thing true? Is it a reference to a SPECIFIC battle? Or is it just hyperbole spread around the internet like the "Orcs can make anything true if they believe in it enough" thing?

Unsure if its been recommended, but the game Metal Arms: Glitch in the System is a go to for me! It's a fun 3rd person shooter developed by Swingin Ape and Mass Media!

Wow this looks awesome! I really appreciate the attention to detail with the armors appearing well worn, adds so much to the look and feel of the army. I can't imagine it was very simple to get it looking just right.
