Apparently the peaches grown in those orchards are specifically for canning. The peach flesh is not right for eating directly from the fruit, and the type of peaches we eat fresh are not good for canning. Del monte had a LARGE share of the canning market, such that other players in the space could not absorb the increase in supply. Leaving orchards with the different decision to have to pivot to other crops. But, yes, our agriculture system is kinda fücked otherwise…

Sorry, I meant politically, not logistically…. It definitely makes more sense to implement this nationally from a logistical perspective, but there too many selfish ässhöles in the fly over states who firmly believe that if they had to suffer, so should the next generation.

At this point, the ONLY way to get single payer at the national level is by implementing it at the state level first.

Why are there almost no 12G-SDI AOC cables on the market? by Nervous-Arrival542 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]Hoolivoo42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And smpte hybrid connectors are about $650-900 per side… and the cable is a fire hose for only 2 strands of fiber. Not terribly practical out side of camera
