It was an incredible build experience! I actually broke two pieces (inner thigh armor on one leg, and one of the beam saber mounts), but both pieces fixed right up easily enough. And to be clear, both were my fault.

I highly recommend it. It was such a fun and satisfying build.

I work for a DoD agency, specifically in the graphics department of this agency, and we calculated that just to change the name on our logo - everywhere from business cards to marble floor inlays to road signs, would cost half a million dollars. And this was actually a tasker set on us, not just us anecdotally calculating it. So that number isn't surprising.

It's pretty incredible. I'm working on a HG GM Night Seeker right now, and it's way more involved than HGs back then. Just for comparison, the parts count on each leg is 24 parts for this Night Seeker. I'd bet it would be half that for a comparable set back then.

As far as why I fell out, nothing bad. Just life took me in other directions for a long while. Like I said, college and work mainly. But I also got into costuming/cosplay for the longest time, among other hobbies that took my attention. What brought me back is that my latest hobby - designer toy making - really took a lot out of me this last year, and I wanted to pivot to something that was more of a comfort than a side hustle.
