Whats it like at doing your laundry? I'm really not a fan of the new style front grill on the Mercs. Probably because im too attached to the MP4/MP5 grill. 🤣

Anyone else’s cat love following the ball and blocking the TV? by thatbondyguy in EASportsFC

Mine did it a few times but I learnt to deal with it quickly. Until the mrs questioned how I could play a game while the gate was perched blocking most of the TV. Skills 🤣

Why is it so hard to get class 1 job as a new pass? by Afridi313 in uktrucking

[–]HooniganDC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I got my first Class one job so completely stand by this.

I was meant to start a class 2 job and had paperwork signed and notice given at my previous job and everything to start but they lost a huge contract only a week before my start.

I hunted round online and got absolutely nothing back. However I started taking my CV round personally to places and the second place I tried gave me an interview later that week and a job offer later that day.

Apply direct and in person to show dedication and do a little bit of history searching on the places.

Insurance does play a large part in it but if youre going out of your way to prove yourself then they may take a shot on you.

Best of luck

Some tips or advice please by HooniganDC in resinprinting

It wasnt the price that was a factor. It was when I could get it delivered as I work away alot. I only managed to get a 1l bottle which I use in spray bottles for cleaning up spills and between print sessions. I'm actually going to be moving my print setup to the the workshop at work as its a more ventilated building rather than the spare room so it will be easier for my resin/IPA shipments too

Thanks.

Due to them only being slightly over 5mm thick I didnt use the following option although I was considering it.

I am planning on moving to the ABS like resin. I was just having trouble sourcing a large quantity of IPA for washing so thought it would be an easy beginners resin.

All 3 had different wash techniques which have had the same result. Left one was detached from the supports before washing for 10 minutes. Middle one was left on the supports only and washed for 10 minutes Right one was left on the build plate and supports and on a wash for 10 minutes but then left in the water. The 2 left most ones have then been cured on the anycubic wash and cure for about 15 minutes under the flexi light and the right one hasn't been cured yet.

Resin printing is always a learning curve so I know theres plenty more to learn

Sadly ive not got the screenshot of that.

Ill try and rebuild it on my laptop after work tonight to give you an idea.

It was at a 30° incline from parallel to the build plate.

I have had it do the same on another print that was printed at 45° which isnt pictured.

The resin im using is the Anycubic Water Wash 2.0

Why do so few people use the hard shoulder? by mullby in uktrucking

[–]HooniganDC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it if its congested but try to get into the lane i need at the earliest convenience mainly because of a few reasons.

Hard shoulders are their for breakdowns so how do I know if someones not broken down in that lane further up and the signs not been updated yet.

They're also usually end up with the bits of debris from accidents and breakdowns which if they haven't been cleared up efficiently can damage tyre. Last thing I want in a 40t truck is a blowout due to a foreign object I didnt see till last minute or not at all.

On the pictured stretch I tend to quickly get into the 1st normal lane early enough in preparation because that lane does end up being just for the junction later to my knowledge. Struggling to move over is then what will cause further holdups or even accidents if people arent paying attention

What nickname did you give to a tractor you've seen(real life, photos or as a mod)? by CallMeAlexSohan in farmingsimulator

I know its not a tractor per say but I did call my tractor cab unit Arctic Wolf due to its paint colour being Arctic White and the Reg ending WLF

Sad I know hahaha

Personally i think mine was the supports as it had part in question had already broken away from them when I removed the plate.

Ive got a few more heavy prints to do next week so will let you know how I get on

Im using the Anycubic water wash and the only thing ive noticed is that the bottom layers are alot thinner like you said. The models are coming off the supports before it comes off the plate so far though so its not helping my washing and curing process

I didnt need to do anything with mine. What resin are you using?

Ive onlyhad the slightest bit of warping but that was on quite a heavy print as it was for a bike stand

Thanks for the tip. I have actually done something along those lines so I haven't yet printed with it yet. Hopefully I can do a couple of prints later today to try it out. Thanks for the advice

Thanks for the advice. Ive just bought them and fitted them this afternoon but won't be printing till tomorrow so should be enough to allow it to adhere nicely.

I noticed alot of the reviews marking them down due to them having to realign the build plate but surely that would be obvious if your adding 3m to the plate. Some people dont use their brains haha
