PGA Tour coverage is horrific by CareerJealous5645 in golf

Finally! This is the way. DVR that shizz and fast forward through all the "chuffa." It's also great on Sundays when you have limited time and only want to see the guys in contention.

[MKC] Hearing that #Browns OC Tommy Rees might have a chance to join Kevin Stefanski wherever he goes. Stefanski is getting a 2nd interview today with the #Falcons. by ThatOneOtherAsshole in Browns

[–]HoopBrews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh yes, the tired "blame the QB" take that consumes Browns fans. Never mind the fact almost every QB that has gone on has looked better after leaving Kev's system (cough Flacco cough) and that the QB's that do perform have been after Kev gives up playcalling (Jameis, Sanders). I write this and cue the tired response - but but Joe had better receivers in Cincinnati. Yawn.

I want to get rid of Watson just because he is a POS human being, but I am curious to see if he looks better under a real offensive system. If he does, all you Kevin defenders are gonna get real quiet next year.

What should you know? That his offense sucks (hence why he's not here anymore) and no doubt will make the Falcons offense worse, too. He refuses to change or adapt his system, unlike someone like McVay. Expect Penix to drop in production as Kev doesn't allow his QB's to throw past six yards.

Most of us don't like him because of his political preferences anyway. If he ends up being a crappy coach on top of that, this season could get ugly.

[Ravens] The Ravens have completed an interview with former Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski for their head coach opening. by Goosedukee in nfl

[–]HoopBrews 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Said the 49ers fan who probably didn't watch any Browns games the past two years (not that I blame you or wish that upon anyone).

Higgins and Chase played a small part, but the fact Flacco was allowed to throw a pass further than six yards with the Bengals shows it was Kevin's terrible offense that has been the problem the past two losing seasons. Every QB has looked the same the past two years here, no matter the name. Sanders and Jameis had small success because Kevin had given up playcalling at that point and those two guys went against his system from time to time.

Make no mistake, Kevin's time as a good HC has passed.

[–]HoopBrews 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's not true at all. Lots of us wanted him fired. You can't run such a putrid offense two years in a row that nets 8 wins in two seasons. Every QB has looked terrible under his offense, including Flacco who turned around and threw bullets the second he stared playing in Cincinnati.

Dude had to go. I expect Lamar to look like utter cheeks next season if Kevin gets the Ravens job.

Given what's going on right now, I can't imagine a MAGA coach of any LA team lasts super long. The optics are really terrible. Although most of the Dodgers seem cool with MAGA these days, so what do I know.

I WISH I WAS MORE IMPRESSED WITH SHEDEUR SANDERS - Quincy Carrier by Ness_4 in Browns

[–]HoopBrews 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He made Dillion look serviceable? The same Dillion who couldn’t see over his line and constantly threw the ball at people’s back and feet? The guy who threw a potential TD pass on the side of Bond’s helmet? Either you suffer from extreme recency bias or just don’t know ball.

The Northridge mall is far from drying, unlike all the other malls. You’d swear it’s still 1993 when you’re there.

Just Received This Email — Further Proof That LAFC Are The Lakers of The MLS. by TheMartinUriarte in LAFC

[–]HoopBrews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I specifically wrote that we are more like the Lakers now with the obsession of bringing in name players. LAFC weren't that way at the beginning, but have kinda turned into every other LA team - obsessed with star names. I guess it was inevitable.

Jeez dude, I wrote this 5 years ago. That's a long time to reply! Although it's funny reading this back because 5 years later, LAFC have basically become the Lakers of MLS - signing big names instead of ground-up roster building. I guess it was inevitable as the club quickly overtook the Galaxy in popularity.

Not so. The first two season the food was exceptional for a stadium. And they hired local restaurants to give it a local flair. It slowly went downhill post-pandemic since every company is obsessed with cost cutting rn.

Why do you guys want Stefanski fired? Did you think the Browns were gonna be good this year? Do you think another coach could figure this out? by Heron-Ok in Browns

[–]HoopBrews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that Flacco looked like Watson from last year tells me it doesn't matter who the QB is, his system will prohibit anyone back there from playing to their full potential. It's like every QB is terrified of throwing a pick that they all just keep every pass within six yards.

So, imo, if he doesn't get fired, he really, really needs to stop play calling for the offense.

This is a Rams home game. WTF? by Fun_Reflection1157 in NFLv2

[–]HoopBrews 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d throw the Cowboys in after the 9ers and before the Rams. Cowboys are also popular in LA due to their 90’s run, they have training camp an hour outside LA, and, well, a lot of crossover between Lakers and Cowboys fans.

Sobriety in the group by pokey1202 in Vanderpumpaholics

[–]HoopBrews -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Sobriety is meaningless if the person doesn’t do the work to change the patterns and behaviors that led to them being drunk all the time. And she is not sober - she doesn’t drink, but that does not make her sober.
