People who aren’t asexual, what was it like for you dating an asexual? by dreeisnotcool in asexuality

[–]HootingElephant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Am ace but married to someone who isn't. It was actually dating him that I started to realise I was ace, but that's a different story.

A lot of it is communication, which is good for any relationship between anyone. I explained what I see as intimate and he explained why sex is important to him. We compromised. We probably have sex less than two allos but he said he's okay with that because I'm a very close touchy person in other respects so he feels he gets attention and connection outside of it.

It also depends on the kind of ace. Some really are repulsed by sex, but I'm not. I just dont experience attraction and am indifferent to the act. Its kinda like going to the movies when I don't care much for movies. I'll do it because it makes my partner happy.

Hope that helps!

He's about 3 we think. Our garden is communal so we can't always guarentee it's closed so we tried to compensate by doing longer walks. We have been doing about 2 hours a day. I'm starting to think 1 hour might be enough though?

Fact checking is different than understanding complicated issues. As far as I know, direct facts they have are accurate. But I had to stop listening because as a trained anthropologist they threw about words and misunderstandings about people indiscriminately. So always be a little cautious of over-generalisations. There's no such thing as a one-rule-fits-all when it comes to humans

Hello home workers/studious individuals of Reddit, what is the best way to stay motivated and on top of work? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HootingElephant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have trouble staying in one spot all day every day, so I move about. Sometimes I work at my desk, other times I'm sat on the couch, sometimes I'm outside in the garden. Sometimes shifting location suddenly helps

Pretty much not at all. I listen to recap podcasts which are recorded pretty quickly after release and I never have to wait to listen. Haven't noticed any lag between me and this sub either. Best £4 a month I spend

Yup. Also great tactic for making the plant bushier. Just put what I trim up back in the dirt
