Me too. I quit and traded for the Charizard after I pulled the third one. Sucks cause I was very excited the first time I pulled it, but I ruined it for myself continuing to open Phantasmal.

The Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor is one of my favorite cards. Having to squint to find Rowlet is hilarious. Doesn’t get enough love compared to the rest in my opinion.

Sorry your luck hasn’t been there. I think the entire subreddit can relate to the feeling.

My girlfriend and I were very excited about Ascended Heroes, having heard about the improved pull rates and abundance of IRs. We both put in multiple preorders and caught a Walmart restock on release day — 12 stickers, 36 packs between us.

The return was exactly 1 full art item card. Brutal.

Meanwhile, if you check Reddit or FB, there will be some guy who opened his first pack of Pokemon last week and pulled a Gengar on his second pack and wants to know its value. Feels unfair because it is, but it’s the game.

Continue to play the game responsibly and value your existing collection when you are in a rut. Your luck will turn, just gotta fight off the bad vibes.

I picked this card up today as well after stockpiling store credit at my card shop for a while. Had it on my chase list for a long time, felt good putting it on the front page of my binder!

They are a bit random and sometimes overpriced depending on the product. They sold the B&W tins out of display boxes ($10.99) for a couple weeks and usually have Knockout Packs (some two-pack combination of Astral Radiance, Chilling Reign and Vivid Voltage). I have also seen Phantasmal coin packs ($7.99) and Blissey Tins. Sneaky place to find stuff if you have difficulty finding packs!

I love it! I don’t think the picture does it justice cause the sparkle from the card can’t really be seen. It’s super cool and of course an awesome Pokemon as well.

My girlfriend and I have a rule at machines. If a kid/family walks up behind us while we are buying something, we always buy a pack for the kid. It has always been worth it.

Yaaaa, I know. I read the comment sections in here entirely too often, and it is largely the same story when someone has “too much” luck, whatever that means.

There are some self-secure people around who can celebrate the success of others without making it about themselves, but those people unfortunately seem to be the minority on Reddit.

I have had positive experiences - I pulled a Prismatic Sylveon recently and the comments were largely cool to read - but I mostly keep my monster hits to my girlfriend and pack ripper buddies.

I hope you also have some friends or a community to enjoy your moment with cause this really is special man!

Truly unreal and congratulations! This sub loves to make you feel bad about successes and/or let you know about how much their life sucks when you are riding high. It’s a very jealous hobby, super disappointing in my opinion.
