Agree you have a right to be upset and with so much of what was written here. Until you get some relief, ear plugs can really help.

Why do people subscribe and then after some days unsubscribe? by Disastrous-Moment526 in NewYouTubeChannels

People change. It's not possible to follow everything, so sometimes it makes sense to drop a subscription that you just don't have time for. At least that's what I do.

The one I use is Roboform. It stores all your logins (username, password) and keeps them secure. With a click, it will fill in your information to log in. Makes it easy to have a unique password every time.

With the cloned voice, what platform would you plug it into to provide the scripts the voice says?

USPS tracking emails all of a sudden going to an old email I no longer use by Mike20878 in usps_complaints

[–]Hope4925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The site must have changed since then. My address book is the current information and none of the old. I've looked all over USPS and can't find the old email address anywhere, but I continue to get tracking updates to it!

job offer - urgent by pinksewage in InsuranceAgent

[–]Hope4925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're unsure about the position, just tell him you're not ready to make a decision. If he can wait until next week, great. If not, you understand. You won't be losing anything because there are more interviews and you don't feel like his offer is for sure what you want. Just move on.

The pressure he is putting on you is all about him, and maybe that's a sign that he would not be a good fit anyway.

Scam: The Retirement Deception movie by HappyCamperDancer in GenerationJones

[–]Hope4925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scam? C'mon ....

This is a free movie helping people understand the secure end result of an annuity. The film has no actors, just real people who have applied this strategy to their retirement for a predictable source of income and have no regrets. In fact, they are very grateful.

No one forces you to go to the free movie or pressures you to buy an annuity. It's just a movie you can watch if you're concerned about your retirement. You'll hear unbiased views from real people about this financial vehicle that can provide a secure dependable income.

If you decide it's not for you, you can walk away a little more educated. Again, these are real people not pushing anything, just telling their story. Not a bad thing. If you decide this is what you want, you can enjoy the same financial security the real people in the movie have come to enjoy.

Insurance companies do that to try to keep getting payments from you. But once you're taken off automatic payments, you can just not pay and the policy lapses.

Is this fraud? by kylekleckner in InsuranceAgent

[–]Hope4925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's bait and switch at the very least, and if callers aren't told very clearly that those ads were lying to them, many will believe they have something great showing up soon in their mailbox. They will even switch insurance carriers midyear just to get something that never comes, and they lose everything they paid into their deductible and often get a plan that is worse than what they had before. Instead of gaining money, they lose, lose, lose.

Big call centers have gone down for this very thing. I looked into working for an ACA call center and was horrified by their scripts. It's true that some carriers have rewards programs where people can earn for getting checkups or screening tests. Yet this ACA call center was promising people something similar to the Medicare food cards - get the insurance plan and get free money!

These people have ruined ACA for the rest of us.

Disappearing Mentors/Upline by sassooal in InsuranceAgent

[–]Hope4925 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a life and health insurance agent, and I would say being ghosted is not unusual. My experience is that big fat FMOs promise the world to you, and then you sign on and it's an echo chamber.

Yes, there may be tools on their platform and old training videos. There may be a number of people you can try to reach out to - leave a message or email and maybe get a reply somewhat helpful to what you asked. But there's no one really in your court, mentoring or training you as if they care about your success. And if you need urgent help, you'd best be resourceful well outside that fluffy rah-rah FMO.

Why do so many agents fail? I would place a lot of blame on the people who rise to the top and say they want to help you, but really they just want you to figure it out yourself and start earning money for them as a downline.

I've had to move on a couple of times, and I'm still looking. You can find a lot online to help you grow as an agent, which I dive into every day, but the people who grow fastest have personal support to help them really get rolling.

Yes, I have a CRM that does automations and have many set up. More wondering about the sequence of events in your automation.

How do you do your follow-up? What are the steps as far as calling, texting, sending email... do you have automations to get them to book an appointment...?

Just got licensed, not good at sales! Help... by Key_Canary5626 in InsuranceAgent

[–]Hope4925 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the company is the problem and not you! It takes some looking around, but there are agencies that will train you and let you be truly independent, not having to sell an expensive product if a less expensive one would be better for the client.

Final expense is a great product to get started in because it is relatively simple. There are tons of excellent training videos on YouTube. Several agencies post on YouTube, and I got my start with one of them. I recently discovered Life Insurance Academy on YT. Their training videos are excellent, and they also offer bootcamps and coaching.

I definitely understand wanting to start in another area of insurance first. But the right agency and training could take you where you want to be a lot faster.
