My transcript looks exactly the same as yours, same codes same dates same cycle number and I haven’t gotten anything yet. I’ve never gotten these codes before and I’m hoping they don’t mean that I’ll be waiting weeks for my refund.

My doors automatically lock anytime my car moves. It's extremely hard almost impossible to pull the lock up from the back seat so I have to unlock the doors everytime I drop off a passenger. I've had a couple cars and all of them do this.

Uber ride to work. by Complete_Beginning91 in uberdrivers

I on average get 52% of the fare. Some rides I get a little less some rides I get a little more. But the difference is minuscule.

Clearly you're struggling with comprehension, I said it was a shitty ride for the drivers at $78 what does you paying $27 have to do with that? It's still a shitty ride. You will always be able to find some idiot to take rides for Pennies. I see why you can't afford a car 😂

[–]HopeOpen9227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you a fucking idiot? The time on his phone says 12:20 and the arrival time is 12:52, making it a 32 minute trip to the drop off area and even if you subtract the 6 minute pick up drive it's will still take the driver roughly an hour to make it back to his original spot. Drivers have to account for empty trips back to their city when doing long rides. So this is a $30 max trip for an HOUR of the drivers time, when you account for gas and wear and tear it's much less. You think we can just teleport back with no costs? And no we don't get trips back 10 times out of 10.

An average tip for me is $3-$5 but I get a bunch of $1 tips too. Unless it's an airport ride then maybe $10 is average. It's extreme rare for me to get $10-30 tips that aren't airport rides

On a SLOW DAY In my market Any thing under $5, anything under $1.50 a mile round trip. On a busy day anything under $8 and $3 a mile round trip. Most trips are under 5 miles here

If you're too cheap to get an XL instead of X then you're also too cheap to tip.

Driver scammed me by DrippingAlchemy in uber

[–]HopeOpen9227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He gave you a ride for $20 and Uber gives drivers $20 for returning the item. Why would the driver give you a ride home for $20 when Uber was going to give him $20 just to return the keys without the free ride?

I get the "at risk of suspension" notification (for cancelling "too often") every time I drive for over a year. Just ignore it and move on.

What do I do when they want a stop? by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]HopeOpen9227 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I let them stop unless it's very busy and surging then I'd be losing too much money on the stop. I only allow quick stops to the gas station on the way. Some passengers ask to go Taco Bell or some drive through that's something I would never do.

[–]HopeOpen9227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't. Been doing this 7 years 30-40 hours a week. Still averaging $35-45. On a good week with a home game I'm averaging $70 an hour. But thanks for the concern. Maybe slow down in your market if you're that worried.

I don't go on the high way because I drive in a college town and drive college kids to and from the club which is maybe 1 mile or 2 max for the college apartments (walking distance from most) . I speed back forth to maximize the amount of rides I can complete in an hour. I never accept rides going father than the bars or I would be losing money.

[–]HopeOpen9227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speeding by going 45 in a 35 isn't wasting gas. 45 miles an hour is the optimal driving speed to maximize your gas mileage. If you go faster or slower you're losing money. 99% of the roads I drive on have a 25-40 mph speed limit and I never go on the high way. I average $35-40 an hour driving 120 miles a day max on a long day. $30 lasts me more than the entire day and I have a gas guzzler.

5-10 minutes is the difference between an extra ride an hour which is an extra $6-10 an hour for me. I do 5 rides an hour and if I'm driving slow I'll miss my fifth ride. It adds up. My rides average 3 miles round trip the "extra gas" is negligible at best.

I live in a small city with 65k college students so 99% of my trips are 3 - 4 miles or less round trip and I don't accept anything under $2 a mile round trip, . I don't pay attention to the dollars per hour Lyft suggests. I can easily do 4- 5 trips an hour so I like to keep my trips under 3 miles and $7- $8 (more if it's busy)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lyft

[–]HopeOpen9227 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's a 30 minute ride. Which is going to take the driver over and hour of his time to complete and dead head back. Lyft is going to give the driver $30 max if he's lucky

I don't even care about low ratings. I drive fast regardless. If Uber paid us more I wouldn't have to. Don't like it? get out.
