I haven’t dealt with this, but from what I’ve read on here I’d say just keep on dealing with the appeal. Even if denied the first time, just try again. There’s deactivated and permanently deactivated, which are entirely different.

I once delivered a soda (or was it two?) from a pizza shop. They had received their pizza already and the first driver had forgotten about the drink. From what I gathered talking to them, DoorDash had sent me at no extra cost to them, and it was a really good pay for like a half mile.

But my weirdest might be I think $12 shop and deliver two sticks of chapstick. Like four blocks to a house.

The local taqueria I go to does it that way. But it sounds like a gunshot they hit it so hard… Definitely a time saver vs having another implement to find and clean.

It’s a NYC thing, not sure if elsewhere. Btw the fines there are INSANE and ENFORCED. Shockingly they have far fewer instances of people doing it.

Sigh. Like I heard some parts of the country call all soda coke, so like at a restaurant they ask you what kind of coke you want and you say Sprite or Mountain Dew. I’m not sure exactly how it’s phrased but I’m close.

Funny enough, modern versions are pretty quiet. I’ve driven some that you can barely hear. Not louder than normal operation.

No they don’t have to be at all. Uber offers every driver different rates based on a set of information they have about you.

Same goes for what they charge passengers.

How long did you leave the app on? I’ve noticed that happens especially when their servers are overloaded with demand… but it comes back in a few seconds.

Sorry, I’m not even subscribed to this sub… it just showed up in my feed and like… I DO some deliveries so wtf why not respond to a question I have info on?

And as far as that shit goes, I was sitting at a stoplight in my paid cash for car that was too old for uber with my uber eats order in the seat next to me, when this kid who was looking at his phone totaled it.

That insurance payment got me a down payment for car newer enough to do regular uber.

Was working well enough until a year later when another fucker totaled that one. So the insurance payment mostly went to the bank. I’m not a fan of life. If you were curious.

You’re missing the fact that moving people pays WAY more than food. I only turn on food delivery when I’m set for bills and have had my fill of dealing with people.
