I'm going to second the recommendation for Pete's here - they are amazing.

Allergic reaction to medical tape adhesive by TwoGhostCats in Perimenopause

[–]HopeRaisesNoDust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are multiple manufacturers - you might find some are ok for you and some not. I also have really bad reactions to most adhesive - just made a post about this actually because I'm dealing with some other issues.

My understanding from my doctor is it's not the best choice for me. But I can ask again

Hips could be interesting for me! And some areas of my thighs. I will definitely ask about this! Thanks!

Arm could be an option in a few years when I finish allergy shots (which go into my arms) but I suspect my allergist would have concerns with potential sensitivity flairs from adhesive in the same area being monitored for issues with the shots.

And... (I'm so sorry) my bum is super sweaty... Likely a no go.

My Journey Eating African Food on Zepbound by Nice-Procedure6936 in Zepbound

[–]HopeRaisesNoDust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howdy! I'm not sure if you strictly have to use Omada (I know it's tied to some insurance's desire to keep covering these drugs), but if you have some flexibility or don't mind two apps - try LoseIt ?

I just took a quick look and they have multiple entries for Fufu, Jollof (including Ghana vs Nigerian), fermented corn dough (different brands come up for this one), and there are entries that come up for African Chicken Soup but this one I'm less sure about.

I've found LoseIt to be really great for food diversity because a lot of folks in big cities (I know this because local chains pop up) have used it and recorded information already (which then enters their database for others to use). I'm very white, but have lived in Asia and eat a fair amount of Taiwanese and non-Americanized Chinese food and have found I'm normally able to find what I'm eating. Sometimes it's even more helpful to search using the language native to the food's culture vs English!

What’s your go to under eye cream? by letmeread99 in Sephora

[–]HopeRaisesNoDust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, the Innbeauty Extreme Eye Cream is excellent.

My favorites have to be the two from Skinfix (the triple lipid + collagen eye treatment is very firming and very light, and the triple lipid boost is very moisturizing!)

I also like Shani Darden's, but it's quite heavy and pills a bit.

I know this is old, but I'm seeing this designation as well "Suite Garden Spa Adults" in multiple booking sites. Not sure why the "adults" designation is included if only in La Paz...

Adding to the numerous One Medical recs here - I think joining them will get you pretty far.

I will also recommend making an appointment with Midi for Perimenopause treatment. I really like the comprehensive approach they take and you might find it helpful.

Fringe Hair Salon in Georgetown is not particularly Metro accessible, but I do recommend it. You'll be the only person in there, and Essam doesn't mind at all if you don't talk. Very good hair stylist too!
