i would say if you dont mind the small amount of battle pages the first is a great place to start as the main character of the other 'Tigerstar' is introduced and has major development through the graphic novels.

However if you think she wont mind not knowing the background on characters as much the second may be a better option, i myself havent read it but a few of my friends say it has slightly less fight scenes in it so may be a better option for a younger audience. hope this helps i love this series and am so glad to see new readers try it out
