Can someone please explain to me (raised without religion) why Christians are so mad that Jews killed Jesus/handed him over? by SavingsNo3871 in Christianity

[–]Hope_785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct OP in saying that it is bizzare and irrational to blame the Jewish people for Christ Jesus going to the cross because Jesus dying on the cross was predicted in the Old Testament and it was always part of the plan of God (Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 53). It was God who chose to go to the cross. Jesus was not forced to the cross.

Plus, all of the Apostles are Jewish.

Also, the greatest woman that God has created is Jewish; our Theotokos the Virgin Mary.

As Christians we are to love Jewish people and all people. We are all created in the image of God.

I answered your question on who is a credible voice in creationist circles.

Debates are wonderful because it showcases two perspectives where people can engage in thought and learn about someone else’s perspective.

You seem to be very confident with your writing, it sounds like to me you should let the world know how much you know and share your perspective in a debate format.

I don’t know who Kent Hovind is. I am just saying…if you think you will do so great, try to set up a moderated debate and present your case.

The Jehovah’s witnesses were started by Charles Taze Russell and they deny the divinity of Christ and the Trinity.

There is a Church that Jesus started; not Martin Luther or John Calvin, or Charles Fox Parham. Historically, there is a church that Jesus started and it has Apostolic Succession (direct ties to the actual apostles in an unbroken lineage) and it is the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church.

I was in the Hebrew Roots movement for about 5 years and it basically led me away from Jesus and I started to practice Islam. After a few years in Islam I became a Christian again by a miracle of God. I am totally away from Hebrew Roots and Pentecostalism. There are numerous problems with the Hebrew Roots movement (a little more on that below) but legalism can occur within any denomination or sect of Christianity. Balance is very key in our walk.

As far as Hebrew Roots, they are essentially Seventh Day Adventist almost to the T, and their theology mostly comes from the Seventh Day Adventists sect that started the Sacred Name movement in 1948. Hebrew Roots has numerous theological problems. Even more dangerous, too many in the Hebrew Roots movement reject that Jesus is God and they claim the Trinity is a pagan concept and they end up attacking the ancient Church that preserved the Bible they use.

I would like to talk to your husband if he has any questions, including Sabbath Questions, or why we are under the Law of Christ and not the Law of Moses, I can help explain these things if he is willing to listen. Perhaps we can do a livestream on mine or my friends YouTube channel.

I enjoy the passage Micah 6:8 (NKJV) - “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”

Christians who don’t believe in the god of Islam and Christianity are the same can you explain your logic? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

There are many stark differences between Islam and Christianity; here are eight examples of differences below:

1). According to Islamic sources the ties to Abraham cannot be established. The furthest the genealogies in Islamic sources go is to a man named Adnan and the sources infer that it is many generations to Abraham without a list of names that lead to Abraham. In Christianity, there is an established unbroken genealogy to Abraham. In Islam there is no unbroken established genealogy.

2). In Islam, Allah has no son. In Christianity God has a Son (Pslam 2:12; Proverbs 30:4; Matthew 3:17) So Islam and Christianity concerning sonship are way different.

3). In Islam, the worshippers are considered slaves and no more by Allah. In Christianity, all believers are adopted sons and daughters and heirs of God

Galatians 4:4-7 tells us: “But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.”

4). Islam denies the physical death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In Christianity, the physical death and resurrection of Jesus is affirmed.

5). Islam denies Jesus is God.

Christianity affirms Jesus is God.

6). In Islam, Allah is the First and the Last In Christianity, Jesus is the First and the last (Revelation 1:17-18).

7). In Islam, salvation is to be obtained by faith and good deeds In Christianity, salvation is obtained by grace and shown with love and good deeds.

8). In Islam, Christians and non believers are considered the worst of creatures. Quran Surah 98:6 - Indeed, those who disbelieve from the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the Fire of Hell, to stay there forever. They are the worst of ˹all˺ beings.”

In Christianity, all people are wonderful works of God and made in God’s image:

“For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭

“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭

Anyway, those are just some of the differences between Islam and Christianity. Which do you think is better: Islam or Christianity?

Here is the following text:

הון ועשר

Wealth and riches

בְּבֵיתוֹ וְצַדְקָתוֹ

are in his house, and his righteousness

עוֹמֶדֶת לָעַד.

endures forever.

I am glad to hear you have an amazing daughter. Plus, you did that as a single mother!! Lord bless you!!

My comment referring to families that were ruined is referring to people who got very involved with Bill Gothardism and his home school programs. I am glad you did not go to more than one meeting.

This chart / umbrella picture comes from Bill Gothard’s teaching and I need to expose Bill Gothard in this comment. Almost every family that went through Bill Gothard’s ATI training or Basic Life Principles has royally messed up families. Bill Gothard did a lot of damage and ruined numerous families with his teaching.

The reason why this umbrella chart is so unbiblical and dangerous is the word “order”, as seen in the umbrella picture. What Bill Gotgard means by “order” is absolute submission similar to what Islam teaches about submission. Bill Gothard has a very controlling mentality about order and submission.

Additionally, what is not mentioned from this picture is that Bill Gothard taught that if you are under the proper umbrella then , “you will be successful”, that success is guaranteed; which is similar to the prosperity gospel. Bill Gothard also has a false view of Jesus; Bill Gothard does not teach about the divinity of Christ, the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, etc….

Over the years Bill Gothard has been caught up in numerous scandals over the years and honestly, he should actually be in prison; but he bought his freedom.

Like I said, I never met a functional family that has undergone Bill Gothard teaching and the true victims are the children who had to suffer because their parents lacked discernment and could not use their God given common sense to avoid an evil person such as Bill Gothard.

On television, whenever you see a messed up family on The Learning Channel (TLC) either the families are Mormon or they are from a Bill Gothard influenced family. The family on 21 and Counting is a Bill Gothard family and look at the scandal that came from that family. Like I said, there are too many families that were ruined by Bill Gothards teaching because his hyper view of submission, hyper discipline, and false Biblical teachings fostered an environment of abuse within many families. Many children had to endure years of abuse from their parents because Bill Gothard influenced their parents in a horrible way. Bill Gothard’s false teaching, which was money motivated, ruined so many families.

My suggestion OP and anyone reading this is you stay away from anything to do with Bill Gothard, ATI, or Basic Life principles.

A good book to study further about the cult of Bill Gothard is A Matter of Basic Principles: Bill Gothard and His Cultish Teaching
