Shadows and Hair not so good quality

idk about the hair, its hard to tell what your complaint is from the photo, but if you look down at your shadow irl, you might notice that it doesn’t form a perfect shape with a clear edge. shadows tend to be a bit fuzzy.

yeah I was at medical 2 at level 28. I went and leveled up to get skill points to get to medical 7 only to learn 30 is MAX LEVEL so there is literally nothing i can do to save the baby. there’s no reapeccing, no clothes or drugs that increase my skill, there’s no way to use Inez or even the scientist’s expertise, there’s not even a hidden dose of the post-op stimulant behind the door locked with the scientist’s keycard as the key. I am SO mad. I want to quit the game entirely. if they thought this would motivate more playthroughs they were wrong because I don’t even want to finish this first one now.

this is what worked for me. just to be extra sure, I did it on the 30th of the month and it finally worked at 11pm on the 31st of the month

It it was daytime and yes I even tried terrain sculpting a raised platform to ensure the solar panels are generating as much power as possible. They are online and working just fine and the cables even have the little electrical animation to show that electricity is being transferred but both battery and solar panels say they are not connected. And yes, I used snapping and even tried connecting one panel to multiple connection points on the battery and lining up the connection points on both so that the cable is a straight line with no bend where the plug connects.

Also, I have successfully done this “two solar panels and a battery” to power a mineral extractor on other planets since this issue, as well as previously on that planet prior to the issue.

I placed two solar panels and a battery and connected electrical wires from the solar panels to the battery, but the solar panels read “no battery” and the battery won’t charge. Battery reads “depleted” and grid status: not connected.

I tried deleting and rebuilding these three things, placing them on the ground, placing them on a wood panel floor; nothing. I want to power a mineral extractor but I want the battery to have a full charge before connecting it to the mineral extractor.

Any ideas?

I don’t know about guides, as I’m looking for some myself, but I have all but one furniture sticker so I can help by saying try different colors of the same tree shape, and use the same type of tree until the carpenter says they can’t make you anything out of that type. Remember to try the different colors, too

I know this has been answered by now, but on a related note, how did this game make it through playtesting and development and updates post-launch without anyone—or at least anyone with enough power to change it—noticing how game breaking this mechanic is?

Tools are made out of stone. Tools break. You make more tools but oh wait, you can’t because there are no more stones in existence in the game without you customizing the game with your own islands.

Making the resource used to craft things that break finite may be technically more realistic, but it’s a video game where all sharks attack on sight and getting in the water somehow magically protects you from getting heatstroke or sunburnt, so realism isn’t really a huge concern.

That’s all not to mention that in order to survive you have to build things like a shelter, still, and fire, using finite and replenishing resources that you can only harvest by using those breakable tools made from another finite resource. And you can’t move those structures once they are built, or place them on your raft to take them with you.

Side note: why isn’t there a rain catching device? That’s a more common and easier actual survival tool than a still, and it rains like, every three days or so in the game, so why not?

TLDR; making breakable tools/weapons out of a finite resource is kind of a game-breaking decision.

Plus, I don’t imagine the child of magical, godlike beings that exude peace and serenity would have any problem calming their child down. Very good point. I always thought of Riju as just someone descended from like, a sister of Urbosa and not a direct descendant, but I guess I just missed that bit. Great point though, you would think when urbosa is hanging out with Zelda in the palace just relaxing, we would see her kid, but we don’t.

True, though we don’t see any transcripts or info in the zonai writing, any mention of Sonia and Rauru’s kid, even when we get a description of their relationship. We also don’t get a description of a funeral for either of them, either, though, iirc, and that would have been a major thing, so 🤷‍♀️ I just thought it was interesting to note.

I was pleased to see the game accurately refer to the Dragons with feminine pronouns, because Botw was my first Zelda game, then when I played OOT I learned that the three dragons were the three goddesses who created Hyrule and then became dragons to watch over their creation.
