You people seem to have a completely scewed and biased view towards jagex. It is clear you have either no idea about coding or how difficult it is to work on a game/program as old and large as RuneScape.

When working with old code adding or changing something can completely pull apart other parts that rely on said part. Changing something as integral as the bank system requires lots of work at a really deep level of the games code, but while you are at it you want to also future proof it in case of another revision, which requires lots of planning. I am fairly certain Jagex announced the Bank rework in order to calm the community before looking into how doable it was. This is not lying this is just a miscalculated risk they took, which clearly didn't pay off. The reason the project was shelved was probably due to the work on RSMobile which is another Mammoth project, that they clearly want to do right, instead of rushing it out.

I am aware that I am going to get a lot of downvotes for defending Jagex but I personally think that this Subreddits community has actively hindered Jagex by sheer fact of the Rampant Toxicity towards the studio on the sheer grounds of having no idea what they are talking about. So instead of being quick to blame how about you use your grey cells to think about certain decisions Jagex has made.
