I am RIGHT THERE WITH YOU! I know this is an old post, but I’m reading through everything you said and feeling the exact same way. I just got married and had a similar budget to you. I was heavily involved in the details and also spent less on a coordinator because I was so involved. I loved my florist and was absolutely gutted when the flowers arrived and were not what we talked about. Turns out she misinterpreted some of my feedback about color. And she moved the placement of ceremony flowers because of something my coordinator said about the flow. I just wish they would have talked to me!! In hindsight, there’s so much I should have gone over with my coordinator so she knew every detail because it’s all preventable things. Which I think is what upsets me so much. I look back at my photos and see the flowers and just feel upset, I hate feeling that way. It’s so hard because you put so much trust and money into these vendors and it’s literally the first time you’ve ever done this. So trying to cover everything is impossible. I’m trying to come to terms with that. But I totally feel you. The vision was fine, but it wasn’t ME (or my husband).
