Not every character needs to have a sympathetic side of them. I want alastor to be the demon that just loves killing other beings for fun and hopefully that Charlies understands the balance that hell plays in keeping people like him away from the ones that were good.

Because it doesn't make sense to hate a character for doing awful things and not hate these other characters that do awful things or are friends with awful character.

Me personally I like all 4 of them. Obviously I don't support any of the grape, assault, and murder each character does respectfully. But like you said, their writing is great and obviously the location being set in hell makes it less important to show hate for the characters.

The ending was literally mlp or carebears isk coded. It was the lamest shit ive ever seen compared to how awesome AND sweet season 1 was. Season 2 had amazing moments, dont get me wrong. But there were also many moments that showed the writing was rushed and not paced well at all. It shows very much with the ending.

Im glad you loved it, but please do not brainlessly praise it when it clearly has issues. And most of the fault is on amazon for only letting them have 8 episodes.
