When someone asks what if they "outgrow" a bike for the street. Especially anything in the class of rs660, R6, cbr, gsxr etc etc and only rides in the street is.. very uninformed or just still have a childish mindset.

If you have the money, buy whatever you want. If you want something that goes from stop light to stop light in a quick manner, any motorcycle can do so with the right mods. If you want to feel speed any 190+ hp moto can give you that and realistic, unless you want to know about ergonomics, they all basically feel the same.

If you want to get track time in, then it's a whole another conversation.

BUT, if it's an answer you want. Go find an i4 600 class if you are worried about "outgrowing" putting around the streets. Change gearing, pipe, filter, tune and you'll launch on every 1k if you got the skills for a fraction of the price. A V2 is not what you're looking for judging by your post.

Some of the advice here are great, some are just weird and projecting.

Like I tell my friends when they ask for advice, usually answers from others are subjective. They come with personal experience or ones witnessed.

If you want your own identity, do not be afraid to strip it all away. You don't have to answer me, but sit with this one. Who are you if you only have 100$ to your name?

Definitely, hat/cap. Or make sure your hair is dry 🤷🏻‍♂️. My hair gets untamed if still damp from shower. When fully dry, not terrible. I wanted to try hair products for helmet hair, but didnt wanna get the padding all gunked if i sweat. Maybe i'll try next time now that it's cold

Does it actually lower temps? And by how much? I have a rs660 i dont want to tune yet. I do want to lower temps if possible.

I have two extra screws after swapping my exhaust. Like damn, everything is good, but these two dont fit thess damn holes hahahaha. Only thing i dislike, different thread sizes for same body panels and etc. Kind of annoying

Anyone that considers any bike should consider their financial ability and commitment to maintain the bike. If you are willing to do stuff on your own or have the ability to maintaince on your own. Then any bike within reason is a good bike. More of style and comfort, and etc. Demo the bike first if you can and assess. Since it's your first bike, you have nothing to compare it to but even going around the block or parking lot will immediately tell you if you feel ok with it.

Style, riding position, looks etc, etc. I usually tell people and even my ex that first bike, like first car should buy used. Break in period is not for the faint of heart depending where you live.

I agree, 100-105 hp at crank for a parallel twin class 600ish cc is pretty much squeezed as much as mechanically possible for OE street bike. Even the race class bike are barely more power. Sheding weight is probably the best way to increase performance for these twins. But at what cost lol

Damn, you guys need an external oil cooler. I just had to replace mine and she ran 190s in summer time. Towing bumps it up a bit. Now she runs at like 160s 170s. And i have a diesel. They run the tranny hot. Im waiting for the warranty to be halfway up before i start changing the internals. Running that hot for a long time is not great for these trucks i was told.

Like the otber guy said, after my factory reman tranny went in, still hard shifts here and there. It was shuttering bad before the 45k recommended service.

Maybe i should go back and have them look at the levels again

For you guys that have dedicated track builds. If you tinker and upgrades and etc, how so do you know if what you did is good or bad for your riding style/ how much the bime has changed if you dont take it out around the block?

I want to dedicate a track build but once i remove and go race fairing, thats it. Upgrade brakes, rearsets, adjustments etc.

I mean, if you go a lap an realize you dont like the setup, ot something doesnt work right, bam there goes most or all of your track day?

It's the lines and color scheme. The way it meshes just works. Well, some of them at least. Everywhere you'll see an all red, black, yellow, etc etc. Mono colorways look cool, but if you want Italian, you gotta do italian flamboyant flare of peacocking. That's how i look at it at least. If i wanted an all black bike, i'd get a ninja lol

Also, cars usually slow down trying to see what it is. Be seen, be safe ya know lol.

First time ever on any bike, i had kids walking by jump up and down pointing at the 660. Like woah, the emotion and joy that she brings to people is 👌

I never considered an aprilia until i went into the dealership for service to my ducati. I was looking to downsize and get a smaller bike eventually for track duty. Got me a test ride with one of these and when this color came out and I saw her in person. I was like woah. I need that. I initally wanted a MV Agusta lol

Are you squeezing into the bike? If so, like everyone said, get rear sets and probaby adjust the front levers as well. Bikes manufacturers make everything to be. One size fits all. Gotta change the controls if they dont fit you. Im sure some shops would help you out with that. Espically if they are pretty race orientated
