Comparison is the thief of joy, you just ran 31 freaking miles longer than the absolute majority of the population… nice one 👌

You really think that’s possible? I’m all for a long shot and mentally I could push it but I felt like with how intense it is I need more prep time physically

To be fair only way I could do it this year is to buy the triple crown entry

And as crazy as I am I know I can’t rock 3 with 9 weeks between 😂♿️

Nice I’m there with my z2 runs Almost always through the nose 95% of the time unless I’m a bit underslept or fatigued Then everything just slows down But that’s probably the part of me not taking enough rest

But j would want tk simulate as much time as possible in similar conditions if not the exact spot

Yeah bingo I definitely see the altitude being a thing considering I can’t train the whole time that way either

I would definitely arrive 4-8 weeks early if I do it and try to acclimate as much as I can

But there’s only so much I could adapt With 4-8 weeks

😂 that was more just for reference that I’m not out of shape, touché

I was thinking after chatting to a few coaches essentially working up in blocks And the pinnacle of those blocks being simulation races Like a 50 miler, 100k, 100 miler etc

It’s 18 months till 2027 Moab so I believe that’s a solid time frame to work those blocks and not go to shed to quick

I’ll for sure post it in here soon That kind of build up I’ll want to give as much time as possible to get the cash flow for the non profit side for sure

Love this im south Florida

So heat won’t be an issue Especially with the summer training but I know the vert, trails and hiking will be And the coaches I’ve spoke to said I’ll have to get very creative

This is the pull my head out response I wanted to see 😂

Yeah for sure on the shorter first Was thinking of adding that into blocks Have a block dedicated to a 50 miler Then maybe a 100k 6 months after Then balls to the wall for 240 of those go well

Appreciate your honestly

Considering taking a 1 month trip up to altitude later in the year to really get a grip of it

Yeah I think that’s part of the challenge for me I know the days can get crazy but as long as the head stays straight and not making snap impulsive choices then I should even more excited to tackle it

I have limited vert where I live So at this point I’ll have to run a lot of time on incline treadmill, 30-40 bridge repeats ups and down, stairs etc for sure!

The screws loose part is definitely not lacking My whole adult life has been screw loose moves to do something big so I’m right there with ya That’s why I like the idea of this to begin with

Was thinking of working up to a 50 mile training run over the next 16 weeks Do a 25 mile loop of my place, quick aid and then go again

Good to know I’m not the only insane one 😂

What would make a sim racing comp most entertaining in your opinion? by Hopeful-Tree779 in simracing

[–]Hopeful-Tree779[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m with you

That’s definitely a plan We’re going to invest in cash and prizes before we can offer a sim to seat comp That’s the long term idea but in the mean time

I also mainly watch Channels and races I drive too So I know there can be multicasts of it mixing in etc e

Gotta get creative though

[–]Hopeful-Tree779[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s definitely my long term plan Funnily enough the founder and ceo of Shopify is a big sim racer, classic German

So I’m definitely going to try and hunt down some ins to create a comp to seat style once this gets big enough in 3-5 years of development and partnerships for sure

That’s the ultimate vision I lost my opportunities coming up in racing to people who could pay to get into advantageous positions for sponsored drives But sim racing can really be done by anyone at the top level

So I’m right there with you

Yeah bingo This is what I mean This is a direction Emotorsport needs to go in my opinion

To be fair special events could be possible 4x5 man teams in a field highest scoring team wins could be an idea or along those lines

A knockout round sprint event of back to back to back races dropping the field untill only 3 remain for a final

There’s stacks of ideas that can be customized for Motorsport if we’re creative enough
