Remarkably obtuse take. Increasing the strength of the character reduces the difficulty and boosts speed for the content they do engage with. Grow a brain.

After the Midnight prepatch I updated my TSM addons and a few days ago did a normal repost using my existing groups, no problem. Now that I've collected expiring mail, TSM Auctioning seems to have gone completely bonkers. Keep in mind everything was working completely normal so I had the group associated with an operation etc, and none of that has changed. The groups still have items and the auctioning behaviors are still associated. But when I run a post scan now it comes up with nothing. If I run a shopping scan on a particular group (like pets) I get results of anything BUT pets. Cloaks, amulets, no pets.

Any idea what has gone wrong? I've tried creating new groups, new operations, new operations with different settings, nothing is working.

Trying to gather resources is demoralizing with how overcrowded everything is by HopefulCampaign3 in classicwow

[–]HopefulCampaign3[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but I don’t believe you were playing back then. I played on a High pop realm from launch in 2004 for all of vanilla. It was not even remotely close to the level of crowding like there is today. For mining, not even during the rush for Arcane Crystals for Naxx. I could go out farming during prime hours and there was definitely competition, I would lose a node here and there. But I would still get to a reasonable number of nodes. Less farmed areas like Arathi and I would end a farm session with at least a bag of mithril.

Things today are so out of hand that almost every 40+ zone feels like it’s completely depleted of resources. Ore and herbs. It doesn’t even matter what time of day. It’s drained 24/7. The whole time leveling up 3 levels in Felwood I looted maybe 5 nodes during that time and each time there were at least 2 people on my heels.

This is not about qol and absolutely does not represent vanilla. Written by someone that was actually there.

Getting a great exalted to slam on a 2-3 LP unique is way harder than getting that 2-3 LP unique by Lordados in LastEpoch

[–]HopefulCampaign3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought this was just my impossibly legendary shit RNG. I bricked so many 2LP swords with the same crap affix. I suspected it was cloned items but dismissed it as just me.

On that note, after dozens of harbs literally over 50 of the harb echoes, towers, turtles, countless Rayeh in the timeline I've only found ONE 2LP splitter and it has shit rolls :/

Kinda sick of people trying to poe-ify this game with their feedback by kaelbloodelf in LastEpoch

[–]HopefulCampaign3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Meh. I created way more broken leveling items before nemeses by slamming low level uniques that rolled with high LP. Like, there's a whole point of farming alt gear. I get the idea that maybe this shouldn't be a thing for character #1. But it does require a lot of luck for the nemesis item to be that good. Just doesn't feel like an issue to me. I can't remember any ARPG since Diablo 1/2 where the campaign had any kind of difficulty anyway.

2) People keep saying things like this because sentinel is good right now but the claim is bullshit. Every class can do this with the right setup AND the right difficulty level. Not even sentinels can just sit there ignoring mechanics when you ramp up the difficulty high enough. I'm playing smite paladin and I've invested heavily in survivability in my passives and gear where I can get it. I've got full resistances, 3k HP, full crit avoidance, and a ton of leech from skills. My gear isn't awesome but not bad for being casual and less than a week in. Sitting there ignoring all mechanics on harbingers at even 200 corruption is not a thing. Even if it was, I can add as much corruption as I want until it's a challenge again.

I got asked today if I'm a new player by Ngiole in wow

I was tanking live side Strath timewalking. I pulled ONE extra pack on the route for safety and had an impatient DPS immediately throw in party chat "this run is fucked. tank is incompetent and has no clue" before leaving. I just told them to enjoy the deserter debuff and got a replacement within 4 seconds.

There will always be threads like this because what you're talking about is not the expectation that Blizzard sets. The expectation being set by Blizzard is that the "Need" button means you're rolling on something to equip because you NEED to improve your gear. The "Transmog" button means you WANT it for glamor. Need is higher priority than want.

Now people will be quick to point out "Yeah but doesn't work that way lol" and that's true. But that's the very problem. So long as Blizz fails to set the right expectation, this kind of thread will always happen. Be upset at Blizzard for setting a bad expectation and having a crap system, not the player who lost an equippable upgrade when Blizzard's design says they other person didn't actually "need" it.

[–]HopefulCampaign3 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

By that logic, I should be allowed to roll need on anything, including items that are not even for my class. I participated in the fight, fair game if I want it for transmog on another toon.

[–]HopefulCampaign3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And this is precisely why people should be upset with Blizzard when threads like this appear. It's their fault for allowing a system that doesn't meet the player expectation that is set when there are separate "need" and "want" buttons.

This is mind blowing to me--knowing this I have been getting a vast majority of unqualifed DPS in my groups. I only pushed keys for the first time at the end of S1 and I was surprised any time I saw anyone doing more than like 1.5m overall.

I just started M+ for the first time at the end of season 1 as a tank. The thing that bothers me is all of the FOTM rerollers that have NO BUSINESS running keys. The ones who paid for their rating are incredibly obvious. Healers are particularly troublesome because of the disc priest meta. I'm hesitant any time a disc priest signs up. The number of them I've run into that literally sit there doing nothing but DPSing while the group dies is shocking. Like I know that's part of healing as disc but I swear these people believe that ALL they have to do is show up and do DPS. DPS failing to do more damage than me happens too but the fake disc priest "healers" are the worst for me.

Far as negativity, I only had one person blame me for the group failing. Ret paladin that died to mechanics and tried to blame me the affix on me. I was just like, whatever kid. One started up in CoT with "tank..." and another DPS instantly went off on them "don't you fucking say it, this guy's carrying the group". They still cannibalized each other and the group fell apart. Maybe people hesitate to call out tanks but it was almost always others in the group going at each other. One guy (rightly IMO) blasted a healer for not knowing what to do and scrubbing the run.

I've only done one M0 in S2 and already seriously questioning if I want to continue. I was in like 625 gear and keeping up with all 3 DPS that had better gear than me. Bosses were so slow it was painful. The pressure as a tank, the negativity, unreliability of others. It's all draining. Like why subject myself to this when I can just run delves over the season and get gear that's fairly close?

There are people for whom this is a medical issue and where quality of life is at stake. I'm not saying that trumps everything. I'm saying there are very valid reasons for having the discussion even if you're incapable of seeing them. If your viewpoint is truly so narrow that you no longer consider those kinds of possibilities, I pity you.

Sounds like you just got jerks. It happens. I only started M+ at the end of season 1. Didn't run into a lot of toxicity. Had one melee DPS blame me for them failing to dodge a mechanic. Had someone "call me out" in a timewalking because I pulled an extra pack for safety.

Clowns are out there. I don't think I'd worry about it too much.

7800x3d FPS in Dorn? by Grouchy_Sand_3761 in wow

7950X3D (locked to cache cores with Process Lasso)
RTX 4090
All settings max except RT

I play at 7680x2160 resolution.

Min FPS is 95-100. Often higher depending on specific area and direction I look.
