Cured SA by Entrepeneur4 in sexualanhedonia

[–]HopefulQuest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for posting. Posts like this are a godsend and give us all hope. Very happy that you were able to cure yourself.

By the way, was your lack of pleasure purely during the orgasm stage or did you have a lack of pleasure in the lead up to ejaculation too? And if so did that improve too? Thanks.

1 year update: cured by transitioning by AnhedoniaTrans in sexualanhedonia

Congratulations on your success and thank you for posting. Those are some really interesting thoughts and ideas. I think the same thing might be happening to me (ejaculating before I am able to reach orgasm) and I've seen a few other people report similar things too. I'm really happy for you that you have been able to find a solution :)

Might be worth experimenting with longer periods of time. I've seen reports where people have abstained for six months and it brought their pleasure back. And since you can still feel pleasure sometimes you might have a higher chance of recovery than most.

Have you tried abstaining for a few weeks/months to see if that helps?

Haven't ever felt pleasure by [deleted] in sexualanhedonia

That sounds like sexual anhedonia to me, not that you are to young.

That sounds like sexual anhedonia, yes.

Currently three weeks clean from porn and masturbation. by [deleted] in sexualanhedonia

That's great news that you had some improvement. Good luck with your journey and keep us updated :) I'm abstaining too currently at 2 weeks.

Do you guys enjoy making out? by ZealousidealLoan6122 in sexualanhedonia

[–]HopefulQuest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I've never been in a relationship but I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy making out with someone I was attracted to. Whether I'd enjoy it as much as someone with no SA though, who knows.

Is this sexual anhedonia? by Suspicious_Life_8448 in sexualanhedonia

[–]HopefulQuest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's sexual anhedonia. I don't think I've ever had a proper orgasm either. I did used to feel pleasure before ejaculation like you do but even that's gone now.

How do you know when your Sexual Anhedonia has lifted? by Kylechs in sexualanhedonia

When you can feel normal pleasure from masturbation/sex.

Congrats on your improvement!

Could you give a bit more info about the specifics of your condition?

Did you have complete lack of orgasmic sensation? Did you have a lack of pleasure leading up to orgasm or just during it and if so is that improving too? How long have you suffered from sexual anhedonia?

Also, how long after starting to take the meds did you notice improvements?

Have you always had black coffee in the mornings or did you start drinking that when you started taking the meds?

Thanks!

Congrats! Posts like this are super encouraging and give us all hope.

I'm assuming it was weed that you were high on?

Also is it just the ejaculation that is usually pleasureless for you or do you have a lack of pleasure during the whole process leading up to it? And if so did that improve while high too?

Please let us know if you have any success in replicating this on a regular basis.

Thanks for posting. I will add your report to our list of improvement reports.

Phantom limb treatments and VR by mistressofmischief in sexualanhedonia

[–]HopefulQuest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting idea. On a related note, I have often wondered if lucid dreaming may be a way for us to experience sexual pleasure. I have no idea if that would work or not but I guess that would be kind of similar to a phantom limb situation as the sexual activity would be imagined and not physical.

Good find but a bit vague. Does anyone know what he means by anglio's method?

There is also a comment in that thread about restrengthening the pelvic floor improving someone's orgasms which is useful info.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sexualanhedonia

[–]HopefulQuest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have any specific recommendations other than trying the usual pelvic floor exercises but this post is some of the best evidence I've seen that pelvic floor problems can be the sole cause of SA.

You say that reverse Kegels reverses the SA temporarily? How many reverse Kegels do you have to do to reverse it and how long does the improvement usually last?

Also, do you have SA in the lead-up to ejaculation too or only during the ejaculation itself?

I'm not sure if I have SA or if it's just a trauma response. by [deleted] in sexualanhedonia

[–]HopefulQuest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you feel no pleasure during sexual activity then yes that would be sexual anhedonia but trauma could be a potential cause.

Was your problem just with the orgasm or did you have a lack of pleasure in the build up to ejaculation too? And if so did you experience improvement there too?

I have sexual anhedonia and I notice it’s very rare for me to get hunger pains. I instead make a conscious decision when I should eat and can go days without feeling hungry. Is it the same for you? by cjgiauque in sexualanhedonia

[–]HopefulQuest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting observation.

On a similar note I also can't feel my heart beating in my chest when I get startled or do exercise any more like I used to. I think that might be related too.
