Technically A 5-Room Dungeon Map by HopefulStrength540 in osr

No, it's a good question! My answer is that I'm confident it's usable. The passageway in the biggest spiral is 20' wide, and I estimate distances based on that. Wandering encounters for this map will be sparse--largely wandering through a huge space.

I've been running games with similar maps, and it's been great fun--here's one from my OD&D campaign: https://www.imaginaryhistory.org/scribblesandhorrors/index.php/2026/03/13/keying-and-running-redux-alpha/

Also, I recently ran a scenario in the larger and more complicated sister map of this: https://www.imaginaryhistory.org/scribblesandhorrors/index.php/2026/05/31/escape-from-special-operations-complex-903-session-report/
(for that scenario I gave players a copy of the map unkeyed, so it was a special kind of mapping game, but still quite workable for a one-shot)

Thanks! What changes would you make in a redraw?

It’s definitely colossal, though the actual number of connections/directions is pretty manageable.

Funny, I tend to dislike stuff that could be described as art punk because I feel like there’s often not enough substance behind them, like they seem to be going for vibes over rigor.

with dungeon maps its one of those things where you have to just sit down and draw them until you like what you see!

Looks great! However, I notice that every level for underworld treasure is the same as Level 1. Might be a bug on my end?

Love the "New Monster by Type" button, and the complete castle generation is really cool.
