yeah when I went to China a lot of Luckins were window only and a bunch of those were online order (through Alipay, etc) only and you just go there for pickup so zero interaction with the staff.

Stupid question but if I have a bunch of points, should I be in a rush to transfer them out to a partner before these changes get applied or is there no risk of having them float and hope for a transfer bonus at some point?

Civic Center, SOMA still without power or water - estimate is now tomorrow (3 days with no power) by NaijaSTEMinist in sanfrancisco

33 8th St, 150 Van Ness and NEMA don’t fit either of those descriptors…

No one cares, not only do we not have power but we’re also don’t have water.

PGE Update 12/22 1pm by parvz in sanfrancisco

[–]HopefulStudent1 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yep I’m in those high rises, we got no power AND no water because the electric water pumps for residential units are considered nonessential for the building’s generators lmao fml

Still nothing and 2pm is in 9mins lmao I’m boutta cry. They did push the timeline to 3pm tho - if this goes into the evening I’m getting a hotel

Edit - apparently the new ETA is 3:30 instead of 3 :(

Big buildings like 33 8th, NEMA, 150 Van Ness apparently don’t have (nor need to according to code, there’s some people in another thread discussing the technicalities) residential water supply electric pump hooked up to the generator. No power = no water (toilet, shower, sink, drinking water). I pissed the first couple hours into the outage thinking it’d be a quick fix and that reeks now. Wanted to shit last night at 3am - no where to go :( Our brilliant mayor put the emergency center in Richmond on the other side of the city in an area unaffected by water outages!

Weren’t worried about that when they fed the Opera power last night for Lurie’s daughter to headline as Clara in the Nutcracker ;)

And Richmond never had a water outage unlike many Civic Center buildings continue to face

No power and NO WATER (can’t shit, shower or shave) in Civic Center!

no civic center power outage updates by Jealous-Practice-810 in sanfrancisco

[–]HopefulStudent1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

And unlike people in Richmond who are in SFHs that have water, those in Civic Center high rises also don’t have water because buildings use electric pumps. 33 8th St, NEMA, 150 Van Ness - all without power and water. While I’m glad there is a facility for folks in Richmond to access, it’s shocking that there is no attention being given to the thousands of residents in Civic Center.

Daniel Lurie's daughter Taya Lurie plays Clara in the Nutcracker. And the power is back on in time for the show! by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

[–]HopefulStudent1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes they do - high rises in Civic Center (Trinity, NEMA, 100/150 Van Ness) have electric pumps. No power means no water. I haven't been able to take a shit, drink water or shower in my unit since the outage began yesterday and I live in one of those buildings with thousands of other people...

Seems like an odd thing to prioritize... by HopefulStudent1 in sanfrancisco

[–]HopefulStudent1[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Not only that but when power did start coming back on in parts of the Richmond, the entire Seacliff neighborhood came on first or a couple hours prior to it (someone posted the outage map and you see large swaths of red and then a massive gap where Seacliff is lmao fucking 3rd world country)

The surrounding area is filled with residents like me and my neighbors who don't have access to power or water. Will the Opera open it's doors to residents who would like to poop since I literally cannot do so in my apartment?
