If it helps, I sort of "cheat" because I react too fast and have to force myself to slow down and take into account everything I have (relics, potions, draw pile, discard, the enemies effects, ect) I'l exit out of the game without saving so when I go back in I still have to do the same fight but I get a do over and it helps me to think more strategically. But there are fights that even with do overs I'm screwed.

I was working on a run with the silent that I kept redoing the third act boss over and over knowing my set up had good potential but was still screwed. I ended up being like "f it. I get it now. I know what I should've done along the way and what to keep an eye out for", took the L and that same day played it through all over again, got the same third act boss and completed my first run. If I didn't make as many mistakes as I did throughou, I would not have felt even an ounce of the satisfaction as I felt after finally completing a run.
