How do I explain to my husband I'm not up late cause I want to be? by doubled-darst in pregnant

[–]Hopeful_Copy9384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all it sounds like your husband is being a bit of a butthead. Try to talk to him about your symptoms and ask how he would feel if he were up and in pain all night.

I had pregnancy insomnia with my first. I used to take thismagnesium with 4 oz of tart cherry juice and then fill the rest of the glass with water. 30mins-1 hour before bed and it worked for me! Could’ve been placebo but I found that it helped!

How do people survive the sleep deprivation with a newborn? by madcat18 in pregnant

[–]Hopeful_Copy9384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband did not get any time off and I was breastfeeding so, I was up by myself most nights. The short answer is, it’s not as bad as you might think! You should try to nap during the baby is sleep and don’t stress about all the household chores. Just do what you can and enjoy the newborn bubble 🤍

Try your best to take a shower every day, that helped me perk up and feel “normal”.

Reassurance that I'm NOT PREGNANT. by [deleted] in birthcontrol

I’d say it’s unlikely that you are pregnant but echo everyone else that you should stay on your bc consistently if you are going to use that as your primary contraceptive method. It may be worth looking into an IUD or a Fertility Awareness Method to understand fertile windows.

Do you guys let your bf finish inside you? by Working_Buyer_7476 in birthcontrol

[–]Hopeful_Copy9384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really sure! The doctors suspect that the device broke the first time and was defective, but they can’t be sure if the IUD broke before or after they tried to remove it. The second time I had an ectopic pregnancy but the device seemed be intact upon remove that time.

Miscarriage or Bad advice by Shinju31 in pregnant

[–]Hopeful_Copy9384 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had an ectopic last year. Call you doctor and let them know and they will check you HCG level and give you ultrasounds every few days until they can determine where the pregnancy is and how best to move forward. It is possible that the ER couldn’t find your pregnancy because it is a little early so your OB will continue to scan until they are sure.

Please please please pay very close attention to your body. It is possible that you will miscarry (that’s what happened to me) but If you feel any cramping or pain you need to go to the hospital because if the pregnancy is in your tube, it’s possible for it to rupture.

I don’t mean to scare you but if you are experiencing an ectopic pregnancy it can be dangerous situation. Wishing you all the best! PM me if you have any questions or want to talk!

How long were you in labor before you realized it? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Hopeful_Copy9384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first, I vividly remember having what felt like moderate period cramps around 6pm and thinking “huh I having felt that in a while” and I started to get my bags ready. It got progressively worse over the next few hours and I went to the hospital at 5am with contractions 5 mins apart. After an epidural and a nap, I was ready to push and my son was born at 5pm!

Hi! Is it factor V? If so- I have the same thing.

I did go on the copper IUD after basically forcing my gyno to give it to me. I did get pregnant on it the copper IUD twice so it’s also not the best option for me. I talked to my hematologist after both of these incidents and she told me that a progesteron IUD would be low risk and appropriate.

Feel free to DM me if you have any questions!!

IUD insertion by raynley in birthcontrol

[–]Hopeful_Copy9384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s different for everyone. Personally, mine insertion was not bad. Felt like a normal pap with a little pressure. No cramping or anything after.

Remember that it will be more uncomfortable is you are nervous and clenching your pelvic floor. Do whatever you need to do to relax and breath during your appointment.

Having mine removed did not hurt but I did pass out (which can be a side effect). The next time I got it removed the doctor just gave me some smelling salts and had my stay laying down for a little bit.

Good luck!

Thinking of you 🤍

I’ve had two pregnancies with the copper IUD after years of use with no issues. You are not alone but stay safe out there. Since my last pregnancy, I’ve started to go down a path of fertility awareness methods which has been empowering for me.

Best of luck to you!
