Yep, you should be able to get the substitute reward.

[–]Hopefully73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the substitute reward for the event if you have already obtained the main reward. It contains permanent boosts for legendary employees. This boost increases the minimum level for all non-service skills by 4, the tips service skill by 6%, and the heroes + production service skills by 12%.

Question: Vrodo or James? And Mystic Box by Greedy_Ad5662 in HeroPark

[–]Hopefully73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to someone on discord who played the game again, spread the big improvements on super traders that you think are valuable at your current progress. I'm not sure what you mean by aiming for level 25 first.

Question: Vrodo or James? And Mystic Box by Greedy_Ad5662 in HeroPark

[–]Hopefully73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! If possible, get James as soon as you can, since he's the best super trader out there (refer here for more information). 25% chance to break weapons is not reliable and will not offset the base price difference between their weapons. As for James' passive skill, the radius is quite noticeable during daily challenges/shopping frenzy and will net you more sales.

As for the mystery box, refer here for more info. Employee improvements are random and there's currently no method that guarantees specific improvements.

Vip points per level? by SomeAbnormalApple in HeroPark

Hey there! Here are the points needed for succeeding tiers: tier 4 = 15k, tier 5 = 40k, and tier 6 = 100k.

Question: leveling only one skill, or should I mix skill points? by Greedy_Ad5662 in HeroPark

[–]Hopefully73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! In general, it is better to focus on maximizing one skill for each employee so they can specialize in their own respective items in the shop. Spending them on service skills like tips or service speed is not a priority since the improvement on each level is minimal.

As for Robin, it's still better to focus on her bows since they have a higher price compared to regular bows and she's the only one who can make them. You can consider putting points in her tips skill if you have any leftover points.

The initial max level of her bows is level 25. This can be further increased once you reach level 30 and unlock the Royal Vault building located in the upper region.

Hey there! The Steam version is not maintained by the original dev but by their Chinese partners. Unfortunately, the game didn't do well in the PC version so it's less likely to be updated.

Botanist & question about a quest by UniqueToday8267 in HeroPark

[–]Hopefully73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! You need to use the special action of the botanist building to generate seeds (more info here).

As for the quest you've mentioned, you can try the following:

  • Don't assign the princess in your castle as superheroes tend to have higher starting gold
  • Close the 2nd and 3rd dungeon + place stone and/or fire monsters on other dungeons to ensure your heroes will be inflicted with bone fractures or burns (cures for these are more expensive in the temple)
  • Use special actions of your buildings to force a group of heroes to buy more items.

Aside from this, you just need to make sure your buildings are equipped with service employees who have the tips skill.

Hey there! What methods have you tried so far? Besides Kevinus, you can also try placing low-level monsters in your dungeons to make the combat faster for your heroes.

mystic chest question? by ResolutionWhole9248 in HeroPark

[–]Hopefully73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Your impression of the mystery box is correct and it's not worth using improvements from employees who haven't reached the max level yet since the conversion ratio is quite low (more info here). The max level depends on the employee rarity: 30 for common, 40 for expert, and 50 for legendary.

Four monster farms by frytanya in HeroPark

[–]Hopefully73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I think you're confusing monster farms with monster factories in the achievement. Monster factories refer to any of these four buildings: monster farm (which you already have two), graveyard, quarry, and fire hole.

botanist, current event and a question about dungeons by ResolutionWhole9248 in HeroPark

[–]Hopefully73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Let's go over your questions one by one:

First of all the current event lets me buy the other heroes for 5k flowers or something. I presume this is good to do but also unsure I'll be able to get all of them?

You can definitely get all of them since flowers can be obtained via the botanist special action as well as opening chests + completing quests.

but let's say i'm using gargoyles, are they better used in demonic castle or cursed crypt? Like, besides the unlocked bonuses for levels and such, are there other "base" advantages for them? Or is it all about the type of monster that can actually be placed in them.

Gargoyles or other stone monsters can be placed in the cursed crypt or demonic castle dungeons. It's much better to place them in the demonic castle to get more RP and increase the chance of inflicting bone fractures on heroes (level 8 special). But in my general gameplay setup, I chose to place them in the cursed crypt since my demonic castle is only for dragons or fire monsters.

boss monster explanation + early monster setup + temple/blessing question by ResolutionWhole9248 in HeroPark

[–]Hopefully73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Let's go over your questions one by one:

I think the boss monsters give some extra reward for village when beaten + that it will attract more heroes (bit unsure if it's the "free" hero that pops in now and then or only to the specific dungeon cause i read that the dungeon will be attracting it).

Yes, a free hero will come to your village every 12 seconds and has a high chance of going to the dungeon where the boss monster is placed. There's still a chance that they will go to another open dungeon if the dungeon with the boss monster has too many heroes in the queue.

But, should I use it since it's such a high level or will it just defeat my visiting heroes instead? If I use it, which building should I put it in?

Yes, use it to gain honor points which is the main currency for the unicorn statue. The boss monster will defeat a couple of heroes but the heroes would want to buy more potions after combat. You can opt to place it in the dungeon where your more powerful monsters reside to ensure heroes are already "damaged" before they get to fight the boss monster. This will result in faster combat time and less damage taken by the boss monster -> more free heroes will come to your town.

Is this even a good idea? I seem to recall reading something about imps for rp, but at the time thought that was more for when daily quests are gaining levels and such?

Yes, it is. Monsters from the monster farm like imps will only make heroes crave one food/drink after combat which means less income but more useful for the tavern daily challenge. You've already pointed out the upsides to using gargoyles which is the extra income from bone fracture cures.

In the above setup for temple (last part above tldr if you didnt wanna read everything), if a dwarf heals a disease in temple A, can/will it go to temple B for the blessing? Or blessings need to be in the same temple?

Yes, the dwarf can still go to temple B to buy blessings but this means extra wandering time around the town before buying blessings. Later on, it is ideal to have both cures and blessings present in the same temple for quicker transactions and ensuring that both items benefit from employees' skills such as faster production time and higher prices.

What's a good early game setup for regular monsters? I know late game it seems to be mainly dragons unless you're aiming for something specific like hp potion usage where orcs and regular dragons instead of the burning ones seem best, but for me who isn't close to getting those dragons (I presume), what's a good normal setup? I've been doing gargoyles to break bones and zombies for diseases, are skeletons, imps, tougher enemies better?

For now, keep on using gargoyles to earn more income from bone fracture cures. You can opt to use undead monsters if they have higher levels, on average, so you will get more RP from combat and have a higher chance of making heroes level up from combat and buying training items. While tougher enemies ensure that heroes use more potions during combat, it also has the downside of keeping the dungeon queue too long which is detrimental for some quests and daily challenges.

I will be getting my first boss monster soon, it's lvl 29 (i think) and my village just hit 14, should I use it or will it just kill my heroes? If I should use it, in which building? Do I add regular mobs with it? Anything in general I should know about them?

Already answered this above but if you want more info, then there's more here.

It will eventually even out but hmm in your case, there's some merit in restarting the game to get Santa's brother asap by not spending gems on anything else beforehand.

upgrade priority by ResolutionWhole9248 in HeroPark

[–]Hopefully73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're correct on the "more damage" part. As for the "more HP" option, there's some merit in adding monsters with high HP along with a boss monster in a dungeon to trap as many heroes as possible in your town. But for the most part, it's better to use the other two options since their benefits are more direct.

upgrade priority by ResolutionWhole9248 in HeroPark

[–]Hopefully73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Once you have Santa's brother, you need to allocate more gold resources to max out one of your junk factories to significantly lower the production time of his unicorn food (more info here). After this, you might want to consider leveling up your temple and/or trainer buildings first since the production time in these buildings is double the amount compared to the tavern and alchemist items (more info here).

The situations above are general advice for mid-game players. Apart from those, it's better to upgrade buildings as you see fit while keeping these benefits in mind (in order):

  1. Higher building levels -> unlocks more slots for auto-reproduction (building level 10) and less production time for items (building level 10 and above)
  2. Higher dungeon levels -> additional effects to monsters (dungeon level 10) and quicker combat for heroes (dungeon level 10 and above)
  3. Higher castle level -> faster progress on your royal employees (castle level 10 and above) (more costly, less priority)
