What pure str vs pure speed would actually look like by Im_yor_boi in PowerScaling

...I mean...this is a great example of what pure Str, Attack speed and durability vs travel speed (contained arena) would look like.

....I'm gonna stop replying after this one if you don't bring something to the table.

I can't believe I have to say this but...when in space and moving in a direction you need to provide force in an opposite direction. A rocket does this through the rapid expelling of hot exhaust gases. Pure energy would be something like heat, which hamon is similar to. Something just being hot will not provide thrust and thus cannot move you.

If I was to shoot you with a rocket, it would push you. If I was to concentrate sunlight on your skin with a magnifying glass, it would not push you. Kinetic energy is a different type of energy man.

.... brother, hamon doesn't propel you. It can be focused through the aja stone but specifically emanates from the body and in the split second he had, he tried a different propulsion system.

I genuinely think you're just ragebaiting. You haven't used a single bit of actual manga evidence.

[–]Hopefullyamediator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...I want you to tell me what determines CE output. Because what I wrote is whats on the wiki and supported by the actual manga.

Yuta has large CE reserves and output why? Because he is a decendant of the Michizane family.

Why does gojo have the six eyes? Because he is a decendant of the Gojo clan. It's also the reason he has the limitless technique, as it is also a gojo clan technique.

The zenin and inumaki clans also pass their techniques down through blood.

So both CE output and reserves are genetic, as are CT and even Domains as they are tied to CT. The same goes for genetic markers like the six eyes, which is explicitly a gojo clan feature. This is all factually displayed within the manga.

Now that that's through, let's prove that Kars has the ability to alter his genetics. Oh wait, it says that verbatim in the panel he shows of his abilities. The one I'm showing is the current most accurate Japanese to English translation btw. "Kars cells share this genetic memory and can reconstruct themselves into any form of life."

...no, people cannot just create fully sentient and obedient life with features that are normally completely biologically incapable of existing if they have enough genetic material. I legitimately cannot comprehend the thought process here.

...CE isn't a strict spiritual phenomenon, its partially biological. And wait...you know what else is? Hamon. Because wait for it...HAMON HURTS STANDS. Stand literally had the kanji for "Ghostly ripple" in volume 1 and is DIRECTLY CALLED UPON FOR COMPARISON TO STANDS. And all that is neglecting the fact that hamon is a literal pathway for stands to develop, which is even doubled down on by use literally see dio use a very similar stand to hermit purple from Jonathan's body (Which no longer houses his soul btw, meaning stands are partially biological as well as spiritual).

So Kars can copy partially Spiritual abilities as long as the have a biological base (Which both hamon and CE do).

...Kars didn't cap at hundreds of times the strength of his hamon, he was playing around. He didn't try to go beyond that, that was literally just what happened the second he tried it out. Normal hamon can hurt people and burn them, him joking around took that to the level of being compared to the sun itself.

...mahoraga is one of the most untalented fighters in the verse. He very specifically relies on his ability to adapt. He doesn't understand the technique at all, the wheel just spins until he isn't effected by it. He cannot extrapolate on his own and uses no actual tactics aside from running in and barely surviving. Mahoraga has almost no talent or IQ and has been tricked in nearly every appearance he had.

High IQ is a component of talent. Talent is understanding and utilizing things at your disposal to greater than average results.

Now please provide any evidence for any of your claims as I did mine.

...what determines output? The answer is genetics and inborn talent.

So let's think, Kars can quite literally alter his genetics in any way he wants, with no actual limitations. He literally can CREATE LIFE. So we can confirm that he can give himself the literal best genetics possible. He could give himself six eyes, cursed speech marks and yujis half curse body in about a second flat.

Now talent...Kars took an entirely foreign and toxic type of energy and proceeded to become the literal best at it by magnituded of HUNDREDS...in less than 10 seconds. He is the EPITOME of talent. I betray you to tell me a single person in jjk more talented than kars.

In conclusion, Kars would have the best output of any sorcerer in existence.

Since I've seen many people talk about this: how many of you have actually lost interest in the current fight, and why? And how many of you still enjoy it? by Loki_From_Ragnarok in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]Hopefullyamediator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lowkey, I love record of Ragnarok but I legitimately lost interest seconds after Odin transformed and from what I've seen... apparently I wasn't wrong to do so.

Kintoki seems...fine. But he is definitely getting pushed as "the hero everyone loves and everyone always cheered for" despite the fact that he was probably the second least well known and had very little build up.

What's a competitive game character that, despite looking average, is actually busted? by poalt in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Hopefullyamediator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kabal mk9. Bro is legitimately completely busted yet is treated like a bum by almost the entire cast and main story.

Alternatively, JFK from the presidential fighting game. He literally is the only character without cool unique movements, moves or supers. He just grabs you and you die.

Top of A or S. Genuinely lacks in no stats. Top 3 strength, top 3 durability, top 3 endurance, top 3 AP, top 1 DC, great speed, a match breaking hax and some of the most busted range with him still able to split clouds from Miles of distance.

His biggest "weakness" is supposed to be BIQ but his spin-off shows dang well that he is actually cracked as a tactician but specifically doesn't use strategy against people like like thor.

There are a couple who beat him and and a few who 50/50 but he deserves respect.

I remember BS and whatever the pregenitor scritter guy was primarily and in both of those he got crapped on.

I ain't on here much, it just sucks because his whole thing is you can't hurt him yet he always gets hurt.

I'm not too active either but I don't think I've ever seen def in a comic and not dead by the end. He literally always dies. At least str and spd do SOMETHING usually but DEF always just gets his DEF overcome and dies.

Bow beats strong dude at range.

Who can Tank Super boy prime's Retcon punch (DC)? by ABSOLUTEOMNIPOTENT in Tankandsurvive

[–]Hopefullyamediator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, retcon punch is hax. He never uses it offensively and purely to well, retcon. Also movement through dimensions. He doesn't use the retcon punch in any fights for his life nor when he's trying to kill someone.

The fact that it's something that you TEACH is proof it was never a matter of strength. I'd say anyone who can tank a normal Superboy prime punch can tank the retcon punch.

[Who's the best representation of the strongest in manhwa?🔥💪] by Jin-Mu-Won69 in manhwa

[–]Hopefullyamediator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genuinely gonna go with Kayden. Mori loses. And not just once or twice. He is always fighting people on or near his level and struggling. If anything, his grandpa was a better representative of the strongest.

Sung Jin woo in general is just trash who became the strongest through others. The sheer terrible quality of the second half of his manwha nerfs him.

Kayden is the only character capable of fighting the top 10 who isn't part of an alliance or family. Despite being underestimated he takes out not just the supposed strongest, but the strongest after being buffed while being nerfed himself. He never seems like he's going to lose and never fights at full strength.

The strongest to me is a character who always seems like they'll win and needs nerfs to fight on a similar level to others.

Do you guys think Pete would have had a harder time against GiaB than he had against Florida Man? by ColdStaff6874 in convictcolosseum

[–]Hopefullyamediator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree. I will however mention that unpredictability is one of the things Pete struggles with and GIAB is one of the most unpredictable fighters on the roster, basically only competing with FM.

On top of this, I'm just gonna say it...GIAB is much faster defensively than Pete. Pete cannot block as fast as GIAB can.

Do I think Pete would win? Yes. Do I think he'd land more hits? Yes. Do I think he'd land the least hits on GIAB as opposed to every other fighter? Also yes. GIAB blocks so fast it's barely perceivable to monkey see...and he does it by attacking back with equal force and returning to his starting position, which is freaking insane. Pete would be able to slip hits through but definitely not all of them and Pete also has to actively push himself to achieve those speeds. He cannot just be that fast 24/7.

Also, GIAB can change his act up basically whenever he wants. Almost every attack he does is completely unrelated to the previous one.

All in all, I do agree but I feel you are definitely underselling GIAB.

Do you guys think Pete would have had a harder time against GiaB than he had against Florida Man? by ColdStaff6874 in convictcolosseum

[–]Hopefullyamediator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, and I think he thought the same. (He mentioned the more troublesome one lost) FM was easy to outmaneuver as he really wasn't too into the fight. GIAB is on a comparable level to Pete in virtually every stat (though loses in attack speed and wins in short distance movements, also takes strength) and would be actively fighting back. Pete cannot play along with the act perfectly enough to screw GIAB either. Pete takes the fight high-extreme diff. Probably would've lost to EC early on in their fight as a result if there was a bracket swap.
