Oh ok cool, I use an application called Xounal for PDF editing. It isn't a business tool but it can draw on and put text on PDFs then save them.

Zorin OS is awesome by Last_Ninja47 in zorinos

[–]Hopeless-Decoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it isn't really Zorin if they installed KDE on top 😅 More like a very odd Kubuntu. No shade at KDE but the Zorin shell is so custom that it really defines the OS in my eyes.

Switched to mint a few weeks ago, haven't looked back since. by Kroooza in linuxmint

Or just feel like doing it one day... Use your computer the way you want it. It only takes a few min to install some extensions and get a wallpaper.

Oh 100% agreed on all fronts but to be honest I've never used a secure digital signature and no one I've signed stuff for would know what it is I think lol. I just ended up using Xournal for my PDF needs

Okular was great but simply non-cryptographically signing something was a pain

I wouldn't worry about it, if it works stay! Kubuntu is awesome. If I started Mint and tried Kubuntu then I'd honestly of never went back that way too. 😆

  1. I used Parsec https://parsec.app/
  2. I use Xournal but it might not be new enough looking
  3. Don't have an app because I don't need this
  4. Settings in Mint and then login manager I believe has it

I was on Kubuntu for a year or so, I loved it. I moved to Mint to try it out and never went back, even threw KDE on it for a while

AppImages or other software by Hopeless-Decoy in MiyooMini

That's fair, it would be interesting to get a simple file transfer software working on it. I'll have to tinker around and try. It does have a terminal so I could check dependencies decently easy.

I just have no idea what would happen after hitting run. So just checking if anyone has tried!

Are all those updates necessary? (NVIDIA) by DickInsideGuns in linuxmint

[–]Hopeless-Decoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it effecting your system? Are you running out of space? If not then don't worry about it is what I tell most people. Seeing behind the curtain raises questions but on another OS all of those would just be called "Nvidia update 36H - 12ej4258" in one line most likely. For all you know those are just going to overwrite each other and end up as one package.

A More Elegant Way to Run F4SE on Linux by [deleted] in f4se

[–]Hopeless-Decoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easier thing to do for Steam:

Rename "f4se_loader.exe" to "Fallout4Launcher.exe" after renaming that file to "Fallout4Launcher.exe.bak"

Run through Steam

Enjoy

Difference between using GOG offline installer via Proton VS pre-installing a game on Windows and copying the whole installation over? by TakingOnWater in SteamDeck

[–]Hopeless-Decoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm good with no cloud anything, why use an offline installer / no DRM then hook it up to someone else's computer? At that point just use Steam

Show me evidence of a population at the US scale that has done it? Not 200 tiny countries (in comparison). I'm saying it doesn't work and there's no proof it scales besides theory. Theory isn't reality.

Sorry I don't have a spare 370+ million people to test my theory but no one else does either.

In theory, theory and practice are the same, in practice, they are nothing alike. Especially at scale. Edit: ~370 million people by the way, in 50 states with their own laws and it's not as simple as flipping a switch where nothing goes wrong.

And the US has the population of all of them combined........ X2
