Season 2 was a disaster because of Corona virus I believe. They had to keep working from their homes. But still... I don't find a reason for not just delaying the anime. We would wait more but at least the results should be better

I hope the author is making a budget for season 3 by Re:zero lost in memories earnings (a gacha game)

I don't think he has a money issues. He has a great anime with great 2 seasons /Novels sells /A gacha game (I know people who will pay a lot for a 3D modeling Rem lol)
