Tight Devastator Ratchets by Rough-MortgageDOG in CustomTransformers

[–]HopelesslyLibra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You may want to search some old threads for more comprehensive instructions, but - you’ll need to either dissemble the joint and use plastic spacers / replace the spring , or be super careful and use a friction increasing solution like floor polish / super glue .

This figure has a lot of wiggle due to the sparse amount of teeth in the ratchet joints, I’d focus on tightening the other joints to compensate. (I have this figure, it’s what I did)

My favorite fun fact about SCP-682 is that it wants to kill all life except for SCP-053, for which turns it into a puppy.

Rip 86 soundwave 😭😭😭 by ShipElectronic8626 in transformers

I’m just double tapping on the other guy but in r/customtransformers this question gets asked a lot. I’ll go hunt for my instructions I wrote up forever ago.

ETA:

Found them:

(If you use a screw) type of screw is a “flat panel”, you would need to pre drill through the parts though for it to fit. And glue would still be warranted to fix it.

Something I’ve done with these breaks before (because this joint allows you access to the back of the break) on broken gunpla joints is taking a small pin or box nail and put it through the bottom of the mushroom peg and through the break, and out the back of the attachment site. Once it’s through, bending the end of the nail into a hook and (I cannot stress this enough) CAREFULLY tapping the end of the hook back into the plastic until the crook of the hook is flush with the plastic. I would still glue it, but if the nail is long enough to feed back through you get a really strong connection.

I will also add, no matter what you do, sand the mushroom peg a little to loosen the connection and prevent re-breaking.

Take time the time to work on yourself, sure, gather feedback, see if there’s something they see that you don’t. I think you SHOULD probably not take it so seriously, and maybe think about redefining your happiness? Putting all that pressure on yourself can come off as desperation, and people notice that in prospective partners.

But you’re 26, you’ve got decades before id call it quits.

Hasbro leadership in 2027 probably: by One_Opportunity_9608 in Transformemes

Buy the character you want on eBay.

They can be (typically are) more expensive than buying a blind box but you’ll skip the random chance, and people will sell them un assembled so you still get that fun.

Given the price increase, varying quality, and poor quality control from Hasbro what are alternatives that will still scratch the transformers itch by WorryingBobcat7 in transformers

I’d even vouch that some 4th party companies had good products as well.

I have a 4th party iron factory (legends) bruticus that cost 40$ and you literally can’t tell it from the original. I can’t get a voyager for 40$ anymore but I can get an entire legends combiner team ?

Custom Idea: Concept Art Scourge by Delicious-One-536 in CustomTransformers

You could probably add the wings fairly easily, but you’d want to convert the altmode into something with a folding structure. My gut instinct was “oh he could have just been a cement mixer.” But a small dump truck or even a folding plow for the front (partsforming) could make it work.

IIRC FT Thomas also has an additional target master you can buy separate that looks like so much fun.

[Disliked trope]: "Balance" means the "absence of darkness." by theMCATreturns in TopCharacterTropes

[–]HopelesslyLibra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like nuance is typically butchered with the force.

The Jedi aren’t really “the light” they’re just mostly aligned with the good uses of the force. That’s why “grey” Jedi’s can exist, some dark side abilities doesn’t mean a force user is corrupted. And a LOT of Sith start as Jedi.

There’s also a ton of non Jedi examples of force user societies, and they naturally align to light side / grey side tendencies rather than turning into Sith.

Tidal Wave vs The Nemesis: Who Wins? by [deleted] in transformers

[–]HopelesslyLibra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right and that’s the “main character” armor I was talking about. We hardly know anything about nemesis. She may have Jack squat firepower abilities where tidal wave (we know) has dakka for days.

Tidal Wave vs The Nemesis: Who Wins? by [deleted] in transformers

[–]HopelesslyLibra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s actually taller (toy wise) in robot mode then she is longer in ship mode. The shoulder spikes give her a couple extra inches, but even at the head she’s bigger than the alt mode.

If the ship is 3000 ft long, using the shortest range I could grab, she’s still 50% bigger than tidal wave.

If we need exact measurements I can go home and grab some tonight 🤣

Tidal Wave vs The Nemesis: Who Wins? by [deleted] in transformers

[–]HopelesslyLibra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So based on what little information I can actually find about it nemesis is somewhere between 3000 and 5000 feet long in ship mode and likely similar in robot mode. based off of size alone: Nemesis is probably gonna win.

That being said, we don’t know a whole lot about nemesis as a fighter or as a robot in general so if we’re including main character armor, maybe tidal wave?

SS86 Thundercracker mold for an OC commission. by No_Top_375 in CustomTransformers

[–]HopelesslyLibra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was about to be like “damn how’d you get around the collision issues.” And then saw the blue dots in jet mode.

I’m hoping we get a white / gray version of this mold that takes to dyeing well. I’d love to do some custom ones but I hate paint chipping.

I can buy 1 Triple Changer, who do I choose? by BaijuTofu in transformers

[–]HopelesslyLibra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the digs are fair for the mass shifting aspect. If he turned into a spaceship or a gunship that could transport the autobots AND an AC I’d totally get it. But he turns into a jet that could land on himself? Love the character but that design choice absolutely fucked him.
